Options rules and stability

Post by mmoore327 »

Looking for some advice... I am new to WiF but am really enjoying what I have seen of this game so far BUT I don't seem to be able to get past 1940 without a[&:] crash to desktop that I can't get beyond... so far have restarted the game 4 times... Am trying to play the global war scenario with Novice optional rules selected...

Are there a set of optional rules that are more stable than others (I'm wondering if perhaps most users us a different set and so that set has more testing, etc...)? Any other suggestions?

What has happened just prior to the crash? - what phase? Is it the same thing or different each time?

Different each time - I haven't noticed any consistency...

I've been keeping up on the latest patches as well ( so currently on 1.1.0).

Had just been wondering about options, etc that might be most stable currently (vs help with specific bug).

It could be the position of the Mainform on the screen. It has to be on the top of the screen...

Hmmm. That's interesting... I have been playing a little with screen layouts to try and get them just right for me...

Will play through the last game a couple of times and see if I can recreate - will post saved game if I can

Thanks.
