Good morning all. Another blizzard. Hunting is going to be tough again next fall. The deer population is going to be down again.
Thinking on going to Nebraska this year. We went to the sportsman show this year, guy offred to take me full price, and any Eagle Scouts I bring 2 for 1. it's incentive to get these boys to finish their paperwork [:D]
Sounds great. Do the boys have their hunter/safety certificates completed? Where in Nebraska?
Not all of them. There are several requirements that MUST be met before I make the call to plan this.
1) This is NOT a scouting event. Still, the same 2 deep rule will apply.
2) All parents must give permission in writing before March 15 ( The time I need to make the reservation)
3) All Eagle paperwork must be in, with final conferences at least in planning, by that date as well
4) No one goes without a hunters safety
5) No one goes without a 3.2 GPA at the end of school this spring
6) Everyone pays their own expenses
7) We all go to a shooting range to be refreshed on bow safety ( this is a bow hunting trip)
It's sort of a PIA, but the B/S rules are a good rule of thumb to follow. And these are teen age boys. Yelling at them bounces off. Take them hunting, however..... [;)]
