Hi all,
ORIGINAL: Dixie

Hello chaps. It's been back to work this week, and things haven't changed much. The Dak is still in bits and the hangar is still cold. I got an email from Mount Pleasant today, it seems the Falklands aren't sure when my actual deployment dates are as they got the same assignment order twice but with two different names. [8|] The Medical Centre lost the results of my hearing test in December, so I have to do that again. Good times.

Martin, when is your Falklands deployment (if it would happen)?

Leo "Apollo11"

It's scheduled for July, but I could be sent any time from March.

Hmmm ... I wonder how & where my email have leaked? Phishing scams in French??? [8|]

... they apparentely ignore the fact that the World Cup 2014 is roughly five months away from starting. No problems with the credibility.

Hey, I'm getting spam for American sites offering advice about Obamacare and dental clinics. My email address has been sold and resold so many times...

Good morning all. Another blizzard. Hunting is going to be tough again next fall. The deer population is going to be down again.

Thinking on going to Nebraska this year. We went to the sportsman show this year, guy offred to take me full price, and any Eagle Scouts I bring 2 for 1. it's incentive to get these boys to finish their paperwork [:D]

I've managed to keep my mail fairly clean since I registered it in 1997. Last two years there have been some phishing attempts though.

Sounds great. Do the boys have their hunter/safety certificates completed? Where in Nebraska?

The problem with all of Schani's generosity is that some of that damned cold air is spilling over the mountains into NC!

Not all of them. There are several requirements that MUST be met before I make the call to plan this.

1) This is NOT a scouting event. Still, the same 2 deep rule will apply.
2) All parents must give permission in writing before March 15 ( The time I need to make the reservation)
3) All Eagle paperwork must be in, with final conferences at least in planning, by that date as well
4) No one goes without a hunters safety
5) No one goes without a 3.2 GPA at the end of school this spring
6) Everyone pays their own expenses
7) We all go to a shooting range to be refreshed on bow safety ( this is a bow hunting trip)

It's sort of a PIA, but the B/S rules are a good rule of thumb to follow. And these are teen age boys. Yelling at them bounces off. Take them hunting, however..... [;)]

Very sound plan. Requirement #4 is the law for anyone born after 1961. I can't recall what it is but Colorado has a different Hunter/safety requirement than most other states. I'll have to check one of my books at home. I taught hunter safety for one season. My supervisor here has been doing for over thirty years.
If you ever get the urge I have some premo waterfowl hunting land. That goes for everyone here.
