Once KB is replenished, is there any chance of a quick strike south of Kyushu if you sail down through Fukuoka (SP?) or would that be too risky? If Allied CV's are covering incoming support TF's at Moppo maybe you could hit them leaving the Okinawa area while out of range from enemy CV retaliation?

As soon as the KB is up and running nothing will stop me from using it liberally. However, that will take while. Many groups are down to 5-10 planes, torps need to be replenished, and Fukuoka is heavily mined and off limits for transit now. So I'm heading up to the North, maybe even to Ominato or Sapporo. Out of the way anyway. It'll be more than a week I think to get it running in top shape.
I'm getting the majority of the BBs out too since they're nearly out of ammo. The CAs will hold fort at Nagasaki. God help us if the Iowas decide to chance it, but a lot of subs, MTBs and mines stand in their way as well.

It's 210,000 troops!! Landed in one day, or mostly in one phase actually! [X(] The transports sunk in the day phase by air strikes had no troop or equipment losses. This is what the Allies can do in 45, and even if you hit 40+ transports before they land it's impossible to stop the landing.
There were a lot of AT guns in Manchuria, and some still there. Most were moved out and used elsewhere. A decent few are on Hokkaido and Kyushu, and I'l try to move some over to Korea. Some troops will begin moving from Fukuoka and Shimoneseki within days. More mines will be laid if possible. The Allies are oblivious to losses, though, and can afford to be, so mines will only take a few out that venture too far.
The BBs will return too, and could still play a part. With literally 4-5 x 10 Fletcher TFs running around, plus the multiple CL/DD TFs and fast BBs any surface movements will be difficult. I'll have to be careful and may have to use a port other than Fusan to deliver anything.

Of course I now still have to deal with a horde of Allied troops in Korea, but it felt good to take a tithe out of the fleet for that move. It's going to be interesting from here on I think.

One more hard kami hit on a CL. Shouldn't this put on of these under after it already is damaged by a torpedo hit? That's a big plane with 3 x 250kg bombs.

Our radar check seems to have been missed at Fukuoka, and the daring Allied raid knocks out an entire Frank factory size 30. Took down about 10-12 4Es on the day still. I hope this continues though. Fighters are ready and hopefully supporting all bases across the area now.

I'll shift this army to Kanhsien, then move the other army behind it to block the road farther on in a plus 3 hex. Kahnsien will be abandoned other than a few small units and the main army force will move NE.
[font="Microsoft Sans Serif"]KOREA: [/font] Moppo falls to a large Allied army of 5200+ AV. A lot of tanks are here, which could present problems, especially late war US tanks. Some heavy arty is headed to try to stop them. The blockade will be forming in Masan. About 1100AV are there now, and it will go up to 3000AV with a ton of arty in the next few days. Hopefully soon enough. Got to get all of the area that's in good terrain occupied as well.
[font="Microsoft Sans Serif"]HOME ISLANDS: [/font] Some fallout still happening from the battles of the previous days. I left some planes on, hoping CAP wouldn't cover the variety of ships out there. Some are hit, but some of our groups go right in for the heavily CAPed CVs too. Worth it though as another CVE is downed, some transports hit, and a CL hit by a kami.
Really not sure how kami hits are worked out. If 2-3 250kg bombs hit most transports, I'd imagine they'd be in trouble. Especially if they were attached to an aircraft with a good portion of av gas in it and some big heavy parts (which during the war actually were known to punch a hole through an entire DD hull). It seems in game these ships hit on the 14th by Kate kamis with their 2 x 250kg bombs didn't even inhibit the transports from moving at pace and unloading their full complement of troops in one night phase. Those same ships seem to be retreating back easily with the fleet now. Nothing is left at Moppo.
All fighters change to CAP duty around Kyushu and Western Honshu. The Allies hit Fukuoka and knock out a Frank factory in the daylight. Fighters have been distributed around more now and hopefully, if radar gives any time for interception, we can make any more foray like this painful.

[font="Microsoft Sans Serif"]HOME ISLANDS: [/font] Some fallout still happening from the battles of the previous days. I left some planes on, hoping CAP wouldn't cover the variety of ships out there. Some are hit, but some of our groups go right in for the heavily CAPed CVs too. Worth it though as another CVE is downed, some transports hit, and a CL hit by a kami.
Really not sure how kami hits are worked out. If 2-3 250kg bombs hit most transports, I'd imagine they'd be in trouble. Especially if they were attached to an aircraft with a good portion of av gas in it and some big heavy parts (which during the war actually were known to punch a hole through an entire DD hull). It seems in game these ships hit on the 14th by Kate kamis with their 2 x 250kg bombs didn't even inhibit the transports from moving at pace and unloading their full complement of troops in one night phase. Those same ships seem to be retreating back easily with the fleet now. Nothing is left at Moppo.
All fighters change to CAP duty around Kyushu and Western Honshu. The Allies hit Fukuoka and knock out a Frank factory in the daylight. Fighters have been distributed around more now and hopefully, if radar gives any time for interception, we can make any more foray like this painful.

The pilot pools are decent. The IJAAF fighter pool is low only because all of my last round of training just started flying CAP and the truing units haven't produced a good crop yet. In a week or so I'll have 300-400 new cross-trained fighter/kami pilots.
Just check and there are 5,000+ pilots in reserve with more in training. Lost a lot in the last few days, but mostly bomber pilots. Probably getting short of DB pilots but TB should be better. Lots of low nav trained for both services.
Econ hasn't changed much since the last post, but I'll put it up anyway. No supply has gone to Manchuria/China for several months from the HI. It's just slowly fading away.
So far we're a good way over the garrison limit. No worries there.
