Reg and Halsey, this is really cool. Some really interesting graphics! How these are made is beyond me. So much to learn, such a limited mind! Anyway I appreciate your assistance. I did notice however that in the DBB scenarios a lot of ships (like AOs) seem to come up with Dutch flags on them when they are US Oilers.... I guess I would have to go into the files and drop the one emblem and attach the USN one... but that sounds too much like hard work! Maybe for another day.

Enjoy your holiday guys, you gave me an early present! I really like it all....

If you let Dwg61 know the slot numbers involved I'm sure he will fix up the master files...... [:)]

There is a lot of data to be managed and despite everyone's best efforts errors do creep in... (Guilty as charged!!! [:(])

Cheers,
Reg.

Reg when you say "slot numbers" how does one go about finding that number? I would like to be helpful so I need to understand. When I see the wrong flag on a ship for example, do I take the name of the ship and seek out a "slot number" and if so, what folder???? Hal

Well I have down loaded into the appropriate folders...at least I believe it is. I can go into the individual files and see the new artwork. The problem is that none of the new art opens in the actual game. Any hints as to what I buggered up?

These utilities display the INSTALLED artwork and associated scenario information in your browser window. You can then verify the currently INSTALLED graphics line up with the scenario.....

Display_LCU Artwork Display Tool - V0.3 - 1/7/2011
Display_SHP Artwork Display Tool - V0.3 - 1/5/2011
AGP Artwork Display Suite - 1/5/2011
Rotating Aircraft Art Display Tool - 1/30/2011
Rotating Ship Art Display Tool - 1/29/2011

I wrote these utilities to aid the modders as the only other way to view installed graphics is via the game menus/encyclopedia - one unit at a time... [:(] Rotating artwork is even more complicated as the graphics change based on game time!!! However, anyone can use these tools to look at the new graphics and see what units they are loaded against. (The utilities extract the unit information from the scenario files). Have fun!! [:)]

ok.....I'm an idiot and I managed to get it finally....I had imported it but didn't extract it.

Cheers to the designers!! ....Halsey in particular....if the US won't name a ship after you maybe we will....sorry if it is an over-priced patrol boat but it's the thought that counts!!

I suppose the simplest method would be to look it up in the editor. However, I'm sure Dwg61 will work it out from the ship names especially since you have given the nation and ship type....

(The SHP Artwork Display Tool above should make also it obvious for him to find....)

I succesfully upgraded my IBM to use the new art work...it's great!!

I am having problem doing same on my Acer. I'm a Ludite at computers. The files downloaded where they were supposed to, some to the new patch files some to art generally. I can open it in the new files and look at it...it just doesn't show up in game proper. The new icons work fine but there is no sign of the rest of the artwork. I am still Jan '42. I am in DBB # 29 with 2nd most recent Beta upgrade.

Any advice?
