With the exception of the USSR, all the Allies pass in a desperate attempt to end the turn. For the second time it succeeds!

With the loss of Perm and Sverdlovsk, both of which had resources either on the city or next to it, Soviet production is even worse.

Commonwealth production has also taken a hit, with the convoy chain still not fully recovered (only missing one) but the heavy strategic bomber raids have taken a big toll.

There was a slight bug in Version 9 that stopped Australian reinforcements arriving. That's been fixed in V.10 and I'm happy to report Boomerang and Mosquito goodness have shown up to defend my homeland.

The Japanese get one of the best NAV aircraft you could hope to see, the magnificent P1Y1 'Ginga'. Thats enough to strike fear into the hearts of US naval captains.

Time has prevented me from updating this thread for a while, apologies. May not end up finishing it as the game is basically over, the only question is whether or not the Germans can invade England. As it is fun playing with Me-262's and P-51s I'll probably keep going, just may not bother updating the AAR. I may finish it to the end of 1944. See how we go.

The Axis have the impulse for the Nov-Dec 1943 turn and all sides (if I recall correctly) do a naval impulse.
The Kriegsmarine decide that the forces that stayed at sea in the Faeroes Gap are vulnerable...

The now scary German fleet moves into the Faeroes Gap. And of course, they fail to find any Allied ships. Dowh!!
The Allies breathe a sigh of relief.

In the Azanian Sea both the Italians and Japanese decide to pounce on the British fleet that stayed at sea last turn.
The Axis do find the Royal Navy this time...

In what was probably yet another mistake, the Axis choose surface combat (mostly because they were afraid of the Spitfires on Implacable, and then hit 'choose target'.
Implacable escapes destruction

The U-boats find some convoys in the North Atlantic. I'm afraid I can't remember how many they sank in this engagement, about five destroyed I think.

With the entire German fleet in one place, the Allies send everything they can, and I mean everything, into the Faeroes Gap, including a couple of kitchen sinks!
And of course what happens? No one finds anyone!

In the Marianas sea the US fleet sorties to try to destroy some of the Japanese ships - they have been failing abysmally to even the score so far, and they need a bit of luck. Five carriers to three, and you could be forgiven for thinking they should do OK. But again the Japanese get the surprise points
