Adding pilots

Post by obvert »

I'm wondering if there is a way to create a filter for pilots replacements by skill rather than just the usual by experience. In the endgame, especially with the Japanese, there are so many pilots trained for low naval skill to use as kamis that it's nearly impossible to use the defaul filter by exp to bring them in. The kami groups take whatever pilots are trained for that plane type, not low naval skill.

If there is a way to somewhat easily add a filter for skill type in adding pilots it would be incredibly useful.

Thanks for all of your work to make this game better!!

Are you talking about loading pilots from reserve? Click on the yellow text column headers to sort by that value.

Yeah, I can sort them now, but have to add them one by one, but when you have to do 500-1000 in a day, it gets pretty exhausting!

What I'm imagining is a selective choice similar to how pilots are now selected when you use the main group screen and can choose pilot experience levels to add the necessary 15 or whatever pilots needed in the group. So that it would add the highest skilled pilots for low naval bombing, if that is what is selected, when that button to add multiple pilots is used.

When you are in the 'get veteran pilots' list, after you sort by the skill of your choice, you can then add the top or bottom 1, 5 or 10 pilots. It will add them according to their skill.

BTW, when you are in the pilots list for the squadron (I mean pilots already in the squadron), you can send away pilots the same way: top or bottom 1, 5 or 10 of the skill you selected (only applied to pilots who have arrived, that is, 0 or 1 day delay).

Thank you!

I'm glad I asked this, even though when the answer is so simple I feel like a bit of a dolt. Because it says 'release' on the bottom I equated it with releasing pilots in 1, 5, or 10 increments. I never thought this might be to 'add' them to the group itself.

That should save a few hours! [:D]

PS - Changing the language on that one to be in line with the language on the front group screen, 'get new pilot,' might save some other players a bit of time. Or maybe I'm the only one! [:D]

Always silly things you don't get the first tie around. The game is humbling, but I'm getting there. At least now I can use the wrist brace! (Just kidding, actually doing fine in spite of the clicks).

Thanks. Got all of those. Not really so new to the game, just attuned to language. Didn't ever consider 'release' means 'add!'
