Windows 8.1 and patches

Hello all.
Two questions.
1. Will TOAW III run on Windows 8.1?
2. I keep reading about imminent patches and updates but see no links. What's the REAL situation, please?

1 Yes. But not all machines are created equal.

2 It would appear communications concerning in house patches are secret and on a need to know basis. Since we are paying customers Matrix thinks we have no business knowing anything. But there is a 3.5 in the works due out sometime in the future. Rumor has it there is a TOAW4 in the works due out sometime in the future. As for potential features in these two future releases, it's a secret and on a need to know basis. Some say if you look at the wishlist you may glean a little information concerning 3.5 contents.
