saving and loading

Post by laika »

Hi,

I bought this game yesterday and i must say that it feels very great. I went through the tuts and it feels great. I need to read the pdf manual but i have the feeling that this game is more indepth then COH.So far so great and my money is spended well.

Now i went throug one problem about saving and loading. I saved my game but i can't delete a saved game. I went to the main directory on my HD and i saw a save map. I saw alot of saved games in that map(autosaves). Can i delete manual all the files in that map and can i disable autosave in this game? I didn't saw any option in the option menu.

Sorry for my bad UK language.

You can go into the saves directory and manually delete saves. Right now that is the only way that I know to do it. There is no way to turn off the autosave feature. Why would you want to do that?

My OCD makes me delete autosaves and unneeded save games on a regular basis. Actually, I also usually turn off autosave on games. If I want to save, I will save.

Are there plans to add a delete option in game, to delete autosaves and such?

It's certainly possible, I'll discuss it with Tom.

I would think there is a "save game" file somewhere's on your disk. You probably have to search my documents under user tab to find it. Inside it is where all the save game files should be for you to delete. I too also wish for save games delete ability bult into the games as I have Distant Worlds and it's a pain in the butt to cycle through all those files to get the the files I want to delete. Just make a button and a direct link to delete save game files. I thought that would be a known feature for all games.
