Very cool and so simple to pick up

Played through the tutorials. Then the first German campaign mission a few times. Then the small scenario about a meeting engagement in a village (A Simple Task I think it's called). The last one was noted as multiplayer but worked fine solo.

All without having played the boardgame or read the manual!

This is a VERY intuitive system to get into. Elegant mechanics well implemented. Anyone who has played any sort of tactical wargame will 'get it' immediately.

Cracking game so far.

This is my first Lock n Load game, as I'm not much of a board gamer. I'm really enjoying it, and I think it sets the bar high from Matrix games.

PLEASE release something on PC that is set in Modern or Cold War era. Maybe something from the World at War series.

I think it would do very well.

Pleasure.

I actually bought LnL Band of Heroes first edition way back in the day, but I never played it as the white halo hexes caused me to regurgitate recently imbibed alcohol. Moved on to pretty much every wargame of that ilk that you can imagine. I am really enjoying the LnL gameplay on the PC. It may well lead to me investing in some cardboard goodies, as I hear that the maps have changed.

I agree about the intuitive system. I have no experience with board games and hardly any "wargaming" experience. I'm basically a pc gamer looking for something "different". I played one scenario twice -- lost the first time, won the second time. But both play-throughs were a blast. Didn't need the manual but appreciate having it as a back-up.

It's a very good game. The designers clearly understood what a board/miniatures wargamer is looking for in terms of feedback. The rolling dice although ja simple thing, shows their understanding. Really enjoying it (and would certainly buy further iterations).

You ought to make a tablet version......

Played a dozen or so times now. The more I play, the better it gets.
