Crash After First DR

Post by mh1066 »

The game loads and a scenario begins, but after the DR for initiation has been determined the game crashes as soon as I click to move to the Rally phase. I get a system popup window telling the program is not responding and will close. I tried to run it in various compatibility modes, but that didn't help.

Running Windows 8... 64 bit, with 16 GB RAM. NVIDIA GeForce GTX675MX. I am not running a virus program (one is not even installed).

I'm stuck and would really appreciate help on where to go from here because I don't have a clue what to do next. This is a dedicated game computer and I have no problems running other games.

Kind of hard to understand, but the problem may be the Logitech M570 mouse! When I attempted play the game again today (about the hundredth attempt /smirk) I didn't turn on the mouse and just used the touchpad. Sure enough, seemed to work. Kind of a pain mouse-less, but at least it seems to be working...for now.

Are both the touchpad and mouse on at the same time? Can you shut off the touch pad and make the mouse work? I wonder if the game is conflicted as to which device it is waiting to get a button press to continue after the die roll. Have you changed setting to Die Roll from Hold to one of the auto count one and tried that?
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
