Double-click for attacks

Post by toddtreadway »

The way the interface works, you click the right mouse button twice to move to a hex (once to see the move path and cost, then a second time to actually move along that path), but you click the left mouse button only once to attack. I think I'd like to see the same two-clicks treatment for attacks also.

I've noticed that I will occasionally accidentally left-click on an enemy unit and inadvertently attack them.

Yep, I'd like to see that too now that you mention it. A single click to bring up the info the mouseover currently does, and a second click to have the loud noises start would be nice.

We'll look at it. Originally it was a double click.

I think it would be useful to, after the initial left-click is made, show all the modifiers that will affect that attack. Not just the percentage (but that also).

And, when targeting, cursor should have another color or be faded on enemy units that are not in LOS. BTW the LOS tool works great. I like the dots showing where the LOS is blocked or degraded.

Yeah, Macob. That might work. As it is now (and I'm sure that you know this) if you try to fire on an out of LOS unit, you'll get a message explaining your mistake.

Maybe a large red crosshair or green crosshair (bigger than the acquisition one).
