Turn 11. September 14, 1941. Rain (Dry). Are the fall rains here or will I get another turn or two of clear skies. I really hope the latter.

The last remaining objective. I have 2 turns left to capture the city.

Turn 13. September 17, 1941. Clear (Dry). The skies clear and the Luftwaffe pound targets in and around Tula. Tula is captured as well as all other remaining cities and airfields on the map. This should give me a decisive victory.

And it does! Hitler’s plans for Moscow was to relocated it’s population, raze the city and turn it into a reservoir. Fortunately, the Nazi’s only got close enough in December 1941 to glimpse the city before being pushed back by the elite Siberian reserves.
Also provide is a table summarizing unit losses and kills. The step kill to loss ratio was 4.0, which is excellent; especially when compared to previous operations.

Summary kill / loss stats to date. A couple of amazing stats is that the Luftwaffe has downed 32 air units and the Kriegsmarines and Luftwaffe have sunk 9 capital ships (including 1 aircraft carrier), 9 destroyers and 1 sub. That to me is impressive.

Sure. My troops will enjoy the time off, warm in their cozy winter lodgings and enjoying their captured Russia sprits.

RE: Fall Weiss AAR (Colonel) vs AI
Here, I’m afraid, is where my AAR ends. I’ve already successfully carried out Sea Lion (September 1940) and managed to achieve a marginal victory. While the game “pulled” me out I don’t think that in a million years Hitler would have given up these English conquests. While I feel the pull out in October 1940 was a-historical, assuming the a-historical victory I just achieved, I accepted the result as I knew the Soviet Union was next. However, it's a little far fetch for me to have a successful Sea Lion in 1940, pull out and abandon my conquest, invade and conquer the Soviet Union in 1941 and then launch a second Sea Lion in 1942.
So I’m making a call in my alternate WW2 universe. In October 1940 after the successful invasion of England and the capture of London, Dover, Portsmouth, Southampton, Bristol and a number of other cities in southern England this is what happened. Winston Churchill, the British parliament and the King George VI fled to Birmingham and set up government there. Churchill and his staff flew to the US to try to convince President Roosevelt to enter the war against Germany and send US troops immediately to help out in England. The US congress and the majority of American people were still strongly isolationists and would not agree to the war. Without Congress’ approval and declaration of war, President Roosevelt’s hands were tied and could not send US troops to England. To do so, would have been in violation of the US constitution, an impeachable offense and would have in most certainty resulted in him being removed from office. Roosevelt did manage, however, to convince the US congress to pass Lend Lease 2, which promised greater equipment and supplies to England, provided she had the navy to safely transport them across the Atlantic to England.
Churchill flew back to Birmingham with this grim news but determine to find on to the last man. However, not many in the government saw it this way. Churchill lost a vote of confidence and his government fell. A collation government was formed and, in an ironic twist of fate, Neville Chamberlain was asked and accepted to lead this new government. He then promptly asked for a cease fire and a chance to negotiate an armistice with Germany. He did, in Munich and signed the armistice that was to be known (ironically again) as the Munich Agreement II. In frustration, Churchill and a number of government and military people along with the majority of the remaining RN fled the country to Canada to set up a British Government in Exile. Back in England, free and occupied zones, similar to France, were established.
The armistice between Germany and Britain, in effect, put the war in Europe on hold until June 22, 1941. But with the defeat of the Soviet Union in October 1941, the war in Europe officially ended with German domination of all of Europe including Great Britain. Thus, ends my AAR. I hope you enjoyed and please let me know what you think. And, thanks for following.

Thank you for a awesome AAR. [:)]

I am not all that happy with the campaign tree either. You have to win a decisive victory the first time you invade England in order to avoid doing it a second time. I wish that there were more places were you could select were you will fight. I have yet to fight in Greece. [:(]

RE: Fall Weiss AAR (Colonel) vs AI
Personally, I would like to be given the option between 1940 Sea Lion and Greece. And I agree that it would be nice after a decisive victory to be able to choose the decisive or marginal branch. While I feel a 1940 Sea Lion is a credible alternate history timeline. I'm not so sure about a 1942 Sea Lion, and most certainly don't believe it's credible after a successful (though marginal victory) 1940 Sea Lion. Also, do I feel that an invasion of the US East Coast was even remotely possible in WW2.
By the way, do you know if it's possible to edit the decision tree, or is that hardcoded?

I looked at this tree just before I was about to attack Moscow and all my energy to continue evaporated. I suppose I will do so sometime but at the moment I lack the motivation.
I have no idea if it is possible to edit the decision tree.

RE: Fall Weiss AAR (Colonel) vs AI
After a bit of tinkering I think I may have found a way to force the decision branch to go the direction that you want. It’s very klugy but it appears to have promise. Let me demonstrate. After my decisive victory in Fall Rot (three campaigns ago), the game took me to Sea Lion 1940. However; if I’d had a choice I would have opted for Greece.

RE: Fall Weiss AAR (Colonel) vs AI
I found a way to force Greece instead of Sea Lion 1940. Now what I did would also force Greece instead of Sea Lion 1942. Or force any campaign instead of the one choose by the program. However; in doing so you may have to manually configure every branch thereafter.

RE: Fall Weiss AAR (Colonel) vs AI
So instead of Sea Lion 1940, I can fight Greece 1941. Though, I need to do some testing to see where the game will take me after this campaign. How did I do this? Well, I need to go right now but will post what I did later this evening. However, it’s very klugy and involves copying and renaming data files. And, I’m not sure what will happened after this campaign.

Here’s how I did it. But, I’m going to do it differently this time branching from my last campaign (Rush to Moscow) to one that I want to play.
