Replace

Post by Finarfïn »

Hello,

Maybe a silly question but when something can be replaced by ... ( for exemple siberian, queens liners, etc...)

Does the replaced unit go to force pool?

Depends, it is usually better to read the passage for the units in question. Siberians/Queens "replace" a normal unit by moving the normal unit to force pool. The Bear has special rules. Heavies permanently replace the normal version which is removed from the game (like scrapped). Then there are units like replacement naval units, LL aircraft or subhunter that require you to deposit the base-unit in a specified pool. And with MWiF there is a similar mechanic for the unlimited breakdown option (I believe broken down corps are deposited in a breakdown pool, not sure though).

A naval transport goes to Force Pool when replaced by Queens.
Bearn is removed from the game when replaced by a US naval transport.
Other replaced naval units are removed from the game.

A USSR infantry unit goes to the Force Pool when replaced by a Siberian unit.

Corps/army units go to the Force Pool when broken down, if not using Unlimited Breakdown.
Corps/army units go to the Broken Down Pool when broken down, if using Unlimited Breakdown.

Divisions go to the Force Pool when reformed, if not using Unlimited Breakdown.
Divisions are removed from the game when reformed, if using Unlimited Breakdown.
