I just wanted to add that the production is pretty insane. But he has lost over 4000 planes so far.

A shame to see good digital pilots die:

Realistic R&D is off so you can change these to research the A6M5.
Likewise, rather than discarding the huge investment in A6M2 factories you can push them through the Sen Buku to research the A6M8.
Realistic R&D off may give you other opportunities: working on the D5Y1, G4M3a, Ki-43-IV that are usually not that easy and can, maybe, push the Ki-44-IIc forward.
Okay, I understand all this advice except for the D5Y1 Myojo. What is so great about this plane. Later generation Judy is better, no?
RE: Turnaround? Lowpe (J) vs Tiemanj (A) Stock
Relatively quiet turn. Air losses 14 Japanese, 11 American.
ASW improving. Day and Night search combined with junky pb hunter killer units got their first victim off Muntok near Palembang.
That is the sub's side penetrated.[:)] Got to love the shallows.

Java is looking good. +200 AV in my Kali beach head thanks to better supply for replacements. Troops should make it all back giving me over 2000 AV with Armor. Supply and air defense good enough.
My lone MTB tangled with his PT boats and then he has sent in a lone minesweeper into the beach head. Hm...
Soerabaja looks so damn inviting. Please, just be there in 5-6 more days. Please. What else can I do make it more inviting?
His sig int must be going nuts as the Empire is in motion...

Forgot to mention last turn I flew some Sallys (I have insane production of them) with lousy pilots into a cap trap in northern Java. He shot down more than I anticipated (18 ouch), but will hopefully make him more even more confident.
RE: Turnaround? Lowpe (J) vs Tiemanj (A) Stock
R&D. You can see the full Betty factory. I will be making wholesale changes here now that there is better supply at the factories.
Getting a lot of Tojo size 30 factories, and also the Val 2 this turn if I decide to go for the Myojo. The r&d facilities will repair at no supply cost quickly since these planes are close to their date.
I have to be careful not to over do. The temptation is great.[:D]

RE: Turnaround? Lowpe (J) vs Tiemanj (A) Stock
My opponent is thinking of doing an AAR too, this one is making him a little nervous although I cleared it with him first. I encouraged him to do so, and sent him a sample post: the demise of the 4 Division.
In thinking about this, I doubt my opponent understands Japanese reinforcement or production. He probably thinks it is like the Allies with limited pools. Those 3 divisions are all at Singapore with around 150 AV and are rebuilding -- faster now that the supply is getting straightened out.
He replied by sending me this old report on the fighting at Merak. [:D]

Any sign of his carriers?
He had a baby carrier at the invasion of Tarawa. Other than that, no clue....other than what I can gleem from ship sinkings. He like to use them I am guessing from those sinkings.
Maybe he pulled back a little while he is getting my measure. I hope to give him an incorrect picture...for now.
RE: Turnaround? Lowpe (J) vs Tiemanj (A) Stock
In all my games I have terrible luck with my Battleships which always seem to be magnets for torpedoes when I venture away for the shore bombardment role.
However, I understand ASW defenses a lot better now, and would like to use this girl in an outside the box manner. Any Ideas?
According to tracker she is a real pig when it comes to fuel using 31 per hex as opposed to the Nagato class at 19.
I have plenty of BBs in theater to cover the Chittacong invasion, the hammer and anvil attack in Java. So anything idea is fair game...

Why would they be there?
The DEI is the key.
But if they are there, when can you attack in the DEI?
asap if at all possible

Maybe he's worried about your KB? Who knows. It's not that late yet and he doesn't have that many - and what he has now has to last him until mid-43.
The Yamato... I like her for short range things, because as you say she uses 31 fuel per hex. She's a hog. But her guns are so large...
The bolded part... what? It should still cost 1k supply to repair them, no?

My understanding is that R&D factories repair for free. Costs to expand them, but not repair them.

I can attack in 3-5 days. The anvil needs to be in place & I have decided to augment the anvil substantially since there seems to be a complete lack of naval search west of Java. The subs will be in place in 1-2 days. The hammer is 1-2 days away from being in place.
Not having any fuel at Singers has slowed things down as some forces had to go to the fuel at Miri, Ternate, Palembang. Others had to drain the weaker aks at Singers. Ternate just has a ton of AV in it and I have no transports there yet to move them (well the largest air transport is there working hard -- no ships with troop capability). Soon.
The delay isn't bad, as it lets me recover morale, reduce fatigue, and get some AV into place. Plus repair damaged transport planes that have a role to play.
He is not attacking any of my damaged xakls in the area because he doesn't have search up....well, one caught three torpedoes over two days from a sub. Hard to evade at 5 knots. We rescued the Captain.[:'(]

He's no search up?
Hmmm, this bloke reckons it might be a trap

I don't think it is a trap, and I am taking precautions in case it is. [:)]
