Music option

Another minor quibble. I turned the music off in the option menu. I ALT+TAB out to follow the quickstart guide in the user's manual. When I go back to the game the musics back on. Using Ver. 1.04 beta.

About how long would you say you were tabbed out? Thanks.

This is the first game in a loooong time that I haven't turned the music off after 5 minutes. I don't know why, but I like it. [:)]

Mark,

I like Buddy Holly & Elvis, but I want to turn them off when I want to [:)]

BTW, congrats on a really great game.

The absolute first thing I do in every video/computer game is turn off the f*(*(*& music. There is no more game play experience-ruining thing for me than to have music playing during a game. YMMV, but unless it's a very cinematic type game (The Last of Us, Beyond Two Souls, etc) and it goes with the scene, then I don't mind it, but as a rule, it's gone. For about a year, I pondered how I would deal with the creators of the Halo series once I caught them for their decision to make it so you couldn't turn off the music on those games, even the one that Steve Vai himself did the sound track for. I won't go into details, but they should all be happy I've mellowed in my old age. :). About the only exception to this rule is Skyrim...simply because that theme song is so frikkin' EPIC, and goes with the game so perfectly. Even that gets turned off when I'm actually running around killing stuff though.

For the record, I haven't experienced the music coming back on after being tabbed out in HoS.
The only problem with a zombie apocalypse will be pretending I'm not excited.
