Overview of Dec 22nd - 23rd

Main KB: Off of Christmas Island. Engaged my reinforcements for the island and my surface DD forces.

Mini-KB: Believed to be at Truk refitting. Assumed will be pushing to invade Rabul soon. No hard facts on this force for 4 days and counting.

Lexington: Appears to be undetected 28 hexes from Wake Island. Will provide air support for the reinforcements, try and shoot down some betty's and general make some noise so long as the KB and Mini-KB are busy.

Enterprise: Appears to be undetected and heading to 192,126 (four hexes away). Figher units are at Christmas Island.

Saratoga: Appears to be undetected at 192.126 with a replenishment task force.

Task Force 313: Appears to be undetected at 148,50 25 hexes from Shikuka with plans to bombard the hex. One CA and 3 DDs.

Force Z Appears to be undetected at Bativa, with the loss of Price of Wales this force is reduced but still ready to rock and roll for some more dashes north for night combat using British Radar!

The overall plan to hold the Philippines and Singapore seems to still be intact. Wake still holds and a fast transport of supplies will land in two days. In Six Days a Marine Def Art will land to reinforce the island will supplies.

Still Shuffling units to the islands around Pearl and hope for the best. At this point it hard to tell what he may be up to but for some reason I am still thinking OZ but this is looking less and less likely.

I am Open to Any ideas around Christmas Island (or any other front). My opponent is busy the next couple of days so I won't have the next turn from him until Thursday or Friday.

1) Right now I plan on running my CV's around Christmas Island towards Pearl to keep them at least 24 hexes away from the KB as we are playing with two day turns.

2) Running my DDs northwest away from the KB as I am pretty sure his landing is off at this point.

3) Trying to figure out of I really sunk the Kongo or not. Feel really good that the BB Yamashiro will be fish food based upon the number of hits, fires and one torpedo.

Overview of Dec 24th - 25th

Main KB: Off of Fanning Island at 174,137. Engaged my reinforcements for the island and my surface DD forces. I expect it will have enough fuel to be around for a while but should be out of ammo in the next two to eight days.

Mini-KB: Believed to be at Truk refitting. Assumed will be pushing to invade Rabul soon. No hard facts on this force for 6 days and counting.

Lexington: Appears to be undetected 9 hexes from Wake Island, Will hold position for at least the next two days two hexes north of Wake. Will provide air support for the reinforcements (right now one marine def art), try and shoot down some betty's and general make some noise so long as the KB and Mini-KB are busy.

Enterprise: Appears to be undetected and heading to 188,116 (twenty-four hexes from KB). Fighter units are at Christmas Island. With a replenishment task force.

Saratoga: Appears to be undetected and heading to 188,116 (twenty-four hexes from KB). With a replenishment task force.

Task Force 313: Appears to be undetected at 134,48 10 hexes from Shikuka with plans to bombard the hex. One CA and 3 DDs.

Force Z Appears to be undetected at Soerabaja with the loss of Price of Wales this force is reduced but still ready to rock and roll for some more dashes north for night combat using British Radar. It will take 24 days per side to repair the Repulse thinking of pulling it out of the force but not putting it pier side to knock off some of the 17 SYS and 2 FTL damage.

The overall plan to hold the Philippines and Singapore seems to still be intact. Wake still holds and in 3/4 Days a Marine Def Art will land to reinforce the island will supplies. Looking to send an AA unit that withdraws from the theater, 150 mines and an INF Battalion as well.

Still Shuffling units to the islands around Pearl and hope for the best. At this point it hard to tell what he may be up to but for some reason I am still thinking OZ but this is looking less and less likely. Want to try and reinforce Baker Island next and start something prepping to take back Canton.

More details an thoughts to follow on the plan and the last turn.

Have you considered trying to get your 3 carriers between the KB and its likely port for replenishment? You may have an opportunity to ambush an exhausted KB. Continue to feed a few ships into the Palmyra/Christmas region to use the KBs sorties (it is likely low on torpedoes already) and build up fatigue on his pilots and aircraft. You have a pretty good opportunity if he persists in trying to invade Palmyra and/or Christmas.

I did for a bit but I gave it up for the Wake Operation. With the fall of Canton he has some land based naval search in the area and I do not. I could over come this with the submarine Intel and still have a good shot at getting the intercept and possibly the all important 1st shot. The reason I scratched the idea was that he will most likely go back to Truk and the Mini-KB is still there. If he spots be 1st coming in he has a really good chance of pining me between the KB and Mini-KB.

Now, if the Mini-KB moves I might change my thoughts but I think it will be too late in a turn or two.

I will fly the rest of the air force this turn, after hiding for a while. I don't expect much but last turn I got 1 to 1 results as most of his fighters seemed to have gone elsewhere. The glorious PT boat run will rearm this turn and be ready to go again next turn.

Christmas Island

This is just a mess. I am going to fly 20 P-40Es from Pearl to Palmyra for air defense. The one 1 will defend Palmyra and second1 DD Christmas Island. All the subs will move to defend one of the two Islands, this should give me four subs at each base.

Not sure if that one new spotted ask force is going to invade or mine a hex? Anyone know if the CMs can usually land troops for the LYB's????

I am thinking of setting all fighters to range 1, navel attack 70% cap? to hit any landing force, but I am open to anyone's thoughts.

One 11 speed AO will be sent to refuel the 4 DDs which will be sent back to Christmas Island.

I really want to hold Christmas Island and Palmyra and assuming I can get the KB out of the area I have the troops ready to land to ensure this is the case.....

Right now there are two marine def art units and 1 USN Std Base force at Palmyra (~2700 troops) and 1 USN Std Base force, 1 Marine Air HQ and one Port Maintenance Battalion at Christmas Island (~2700 troops) both at level 1 forts.

Overview of Dec 26th - 27th

Main KB: Off of Fanning Island at 171,138. Engaged my surface DD forces in the area and sunk on Badly Damaged DD. I expect it will have enough fuel to be around for a while but should be out of ammo in the next two to sixdays.

Mini-KB: Believed to be at Truk refitting. Assumed will be pushing to invade Rabul soon. No hard facts on this force for 8 days and counting.

Lexington: Detected after combat with a small CL/DD force it ran off for no loss. Will hold position for at least the next two days. Will provide air support for the reinforcements (right now one marine def art), try and shoot down some betty's and general make some noise so long as the KB and Mini-KB are busy.

Enterprise: Appears to be undetected and at 188,116 (twenty-four hexes from KB). Fighter units are at Christmas Island. With a replenishment task force.

The overall plan to hold the Philippines and Singapore seems to still be intact. Wake still holds and in 1 Day a Marine Def Art will land to reinforce the island will supplies. Looking to send an AA unit that withdraws from the theater, 150 mines and an INF Battalion as well. Thirty mines are already in place.

Still Shuffling units to the islands around Pearl and hope for the best. At this point it hard to tell what he may be up to but for some reason I am still thinking OZ but this is looking less and less likely. Want to try and reinforce Baker Island next and start something prepping to take back Canton.

Christmas Island & Palmyra

I will have DD forces covering both islands by nightfall but he his ashore at Christmas and I am not certain I can hold. It could go either way. I am pretty sure I can hold Palmyra or prevent the landing. I simply ran out of DDs hold him off from Christmas. All Fighter units and other air units were moved from Christmas to Palmyra.

If I hold Palmyra, Christmas Island becomes a death trap for him in 90 days as I simply shift my build up from one Island to another and roll over him with land bases air and slow BBs.

Overview of Dec 28th - 29th

Main KB: Ran at Full Speed to get to Wake and Engage the Lexington task force. At this point it must be very low on ammo and fuel (again).

Mini-KB: Believed to be at Truk refitting. Assumed will be pushing to invade Rabul soon. No hard facts on this force for 8 days and counting. Could be on the way to Christmas Island.

Lexington: Was ordered to stay four hexes north of Wake for one day and then withdraw back to Dutch Harbor but it reacted four hexes southwest of wake. This allowed the KB to get it within range on the two day turns and a full sprint. See damage below - it did get one strike off but focused on the BBs not the CV's with the big strike. Such is life with two day turns and AI reactions if you play aggressive as the allies.

Enterprise: Appears to be undetected and at 188,116 (twenty-four hexes from KB). Fighter units are at Christmas Island. With a replenishment task force.

Task Force 313: Hit Shikuka and running away. Other than getting him to see me not use if I did any real damage. Will make it back to Dutch Harbor without any issue.

Force Z Appears to be undetected at Soerabaja with the loss of Price of Wales this force is reduced but still ready to rock and roll for some more dashes north for night combat using British Radar. Repulse not in a task force but in normal repair mode ready to run or fight as needed.

Wake KB smashed enforcements in route [:@] so be it it was worth a shot.

The overall plan to hold the Philippines and Singapore seems to still be intact. Thirty mines in place at Wake. Manila falls but it was held with nothing more than base units I wanted to take losses and one Div - all fall back to Clark that is now over-stacked by 10K to 50K of troops.

Still Shuffling units to the islands around Pearl and hope for the best. At this point it hard to tell what he may be up to but for some reason I am still thinking OZ but this is looking less and less likely. Want to try and reinforce Baker Island next and start something prepping to take back Canton.
