Reform bug
Anyone else had a problem with reforming units?
We are playing with unlimited break down. We get to the end of the pre-prod phase, and it crashes. If I click continue it brings up the reform dialog box and seems to be where the bug could be as it doesn't show any units for the divs to reform into..

This bug was fixed in the latest release 1.1.3. On which version did this happen?

Thanks, I will check a bit later this weekend. I reported the bug and betatested the fix myself, so I wonder what the difference in your game is.
RE: Reform bug
Question:
I have read now about 3 alternatives versus netplay:
1. Passing files back and forths, as you stated
2. Using a cloudservice such as Dropbox to put the savegame (which is a variant on 1. I would think)
3. Play a hot-seat on one PC, and use a tool to "take-over" that PC via the internet.
How does it work out for you? Do you play at the same time and have a Skype session open? Or is it more an alternative to PBM, not having to be present at the same time? I suppose you will have some "rules" for little interventions to limit the sending?
Are there any folks reading this having experimented with 3.?
I wonder what their experience is. Perhaps 3 is a serieus alternative to netplay, although Matrix will probably not be in favour from a commerical viewpoint. However, should hot-seat be discrimating on distance? Or should this be supported as a good alternative until Netplay is working as it should? (the latter will hide the US entry status, which the hot-seat internect-based alternative cannot).

RE: Reform bug
So we are playing solo, and pass the files.
We use dropbox for moving the files around. Saving several times during the impulse (to cover crashes
and typically upload the end of impulse for the next player. We have a 2 player game (this one) and a three player game.
We typically use Skype for communication and for the most part pass along basic instructions like, if you are attacking paris i'll fly a LND for ground support etc.. or i'm attacking hex xx with odds yy do you want to use HQ support, assault vs blitz etc.
So if the phase or impulse is going to be fairly interactive we try to be on at the same time. We have set aside a time slot for that. Otherwise we use the above type communication. The only exception is end of turn since it bounces around a fair bit we almost always have to be both 'on' for that to work.
We also use a tool called team viewer which is free and can share screens when needed, again atypically during eot.
And yes the USE is the only thing that really doesn't work in this fashion as both sides can see it, but we try to ignore it and play as we intended vs.. oh he's 1 point short of gear up.. do nothinnngggg

You combine all three described methods, I see. Looks like this works good enough!
Let's see if there are other experiences coming along. Will test your game save in a couple of hours, or maybe sooner.

RE: Reform bug
I loaded your gamesave and see a small difference: The window with the empty reform appears after the MaxExcept, in the past it was appearing before.
I will dig a bit further to see what I can do - no promise that I can help, but will do what I can.

Send pm back - will try to help progress the game.
Bug is not yet entirely fixed - I will report that.

Send pm back - will try to help progress the game.
Bug is not yet entirely fixed - I will report that.
Bug reported - has probably to do with trying to combine three different types of divs in the broken down pool.
Game is in progress again - but has been touched by the debug tool (2 divs moved from the Breakdown pool to the removed pool, also moved a corps from there back into the Forcepool). Further bug reports from this particular game needs to take that into consideration (debug tool can create problems in the gamesave when it is touched by it). I also had to edit the version number in the gamesave to help loading it on both sides (gamesave in 1.1.3, edited to 1.1.2, fixed save in Betaversion similar to 1.3 and therefor could be loaded in 1.3 again).
This falls into the category: "don't try this at home". But at least you guys are on the road again, although without any garantuee I'm afraid.
When running into problems later you could try to get back to your gamesave above when Steve fixes this. I am sure this is a small thing to fix - but currently he is ear-deep in fixing supply bugs. Might take some time....but it also might be a small snack for him on a pause from deepdiving into the supply code.

Thanks again for the help. We are not 100% if we are proceeding or waiting for this to be officially fixed. While part of us want to proceed, another part are concerned that if we hit another bug we are SOL... [:'(]

RE: Reform bug
Although I might run into problems with my NDA I will tell you as soon as I know that a fix is underway. Steve did fix already the cosmetic error of the third Div overlapping the text in the bottom left corner of the reform form. No clue if he will take the rest as a snack during a pause in his supply work. He is still very occupied with those 10k lines of supply code.
