Manual availability

Post by rickier65 »

I thought I saw an earlier thread concerning a printer friendly manual, but couldn't find that thread.

I haven't been able to find the light version of the manual. I've installed the 1.01 and the 2.0 patch, but can only find the ebook version.

Also, is there any chance of getting a doc file (or other editable format), so that a player can put in the 2.0 changes? (I know this isn't likely - but doesnt hurt to ask).

Thanks!
Rick

From the start menu it lists a manual and a manual printer friendly. Neither one of those is it?

EDIT I tried to open the printer friendly and it says the shortcut no longer works.

Most of the old manual versions were removed from the Manuals folder in anticipation of the new 2.00 manual, which we found out, would have face a queue to editor a month long at least. So it was decided rather than postpone 2.00 again, we (as in "I" - mea culpa!) quickly threw in the old E-BOOK as that is what the game F1 expects to find - but not the other ones.

That is why the new install is so much lighter by the way, the other manual versions were 15 - 25 megs per piece.

But if you have your previous install still around the other manual versions can be found there.

Sorry!

Does this mean there will actually be a 2.0 manual available for download in another month?

I only have the 1.01 install, and the 2.0 install. And did not find a printer friendly manual anywhere in the folder structure.

But if there is going to be a 2.0 printer friendly manual available for download in next month, I can wait (hard as that is for me sometimes)

Great!

Thanks again!

Oh, and thanks j2d, good to see you.

I thought I'd ask these again,

1. are there still plans to release a 2.0 version of the manual in the near future?

2. If not any chance of posting or uploading an editable copy of the latest manual so we can update the applicable sections with 2.0 updates.

3. If not, any chance of just uploading a 'print friendly' copy of the latest manual. (one without the background texturing of the pages ).

Thanks!
