Editor Tutorial?

Post by z1812 »

I have been looking at the editor and I do not find it very intuitive.

I see a brief guide has been released and that is appreciated.

I wonder however if a simple tutorial could be made. Something like an Idiots guide to making a scenario for HoS.

Perhaps a very short and simple scenario that shows all the basics In a step by step format.

First where do i find the manual? Second, how do you change the facing of a vehicle in the editor? Do you have to start with a clear map to place buildings...

Editor manual: read this thread tm.asp?m=3545313

Vehicle facing: Once the vehicle is on the map, select it and use the "," "." "[" "]" keys to turn the body and turret.

Start: No you don't start with a clear map and place terrain. Maps are build outside of the editor in a graphics program.
There are lots of premade maps to use already if you don't want to draw your own.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming "WOW, what a ride!"

Thank you for your response. User content can be very valuable in regards to scenarios and mods.............if we know how to do it.

It certainly is a great marketing point.
