How to take screen shots tutorial !

Post by Hellfirejet »

Hi guys, I have a number of forum members, asking me how do you take screen shots in game, and then post the image on the forum?

Well the first thing you need is an art software program, windows comes with the basic version of paint as standard, but I use the freely available Paint.NET you can download it here.

http://www.getpaint.net/

I will shortly be posting step by step instruction,on how I take screen shots, there are other ways to do it,but the following is the method I use and it works well for me,in my next post I will highlight in image form, how I do it.[;)]

At this point, is this where everyone can upload and embed into a post? or does something else need to be done (other steps)?

Your screen shot image is now on the forum. It might look complicated but once you have done it a few times its a piece of cake!

The SS is in the CTGW file, open with paint, exit paint, (or minimize) done both, go to Desktop, cannot find SS, I'm about ready to puke, or throw computer out the window.. I'll try downloading that paint site you suggested, then go from there. Getting real close to doing the right thing, but do not know what I am doing wrong.

Kirk,

The SS is jpg on the desktop, from paint.

Went to forum reply, typed in some letters, clicked embed, clicked upload, browsed to desktop, right clicked SS, clicked select, then nothing happens.... Message window pops up saying: "You can only upload 1 files per message." I tried it at least 10 times, always same result, don't get it? Am I supposed to do something special with the cursor?

Thanks, Bob

One other thing: The uploaded SS did not appear in the preview mode, so I was not sure if it was in the posting till posting was "OK'd".

Having a problem putting more than 1 SS in a AAR post.

Below is the file line of the post. A window pops up saying I can only use 1 image at a time. What do I have to do to get it right? Thanks...
