Damn it! Allright I may afterall decide to buy it. Crap I hate so much with your good arguments!!! :-P
[:D]

If you are a serious wargamer, you will be very happy with that decision.

In fairness to yourself about those criteria that you mentioned earlier, they are certainly objective as far as they go. The shortcoming is that they don't tell the other things that are the big differences. Joc (and others) covered one aspect of that pretty well with the cost per playing time advice. Of course there is more, like what are you looking for? Those other games are probably great buys - when someone wants what they are. When you are looking for something in AE's space, it's the top of the heap.

I just want to add my share, of praise to the game, developers and game community, only to continue to put things in perspective.

I´m probably one of the very few Latin-Americans who play it and I really enjoy the game, I bought WITP, played thousands of hours, the same is happening with AE.

For me the price is higher, since that transformed into Chilean Pesos is quite a lot, but again as everyone is saying the best buy by peso / Time play expended in my life.

Ant to finish, just want to thank all the amazing community, who enjoying, support and share the pleasure of this piece of art.

“Tres barquichuelos dieron a los Reyes de España la posesión del Nuevo Mundo, estas cuatro tablas van a quitárselo”.

Bernardo O' Higgins, October 10th, 1818, while watching the Chilean first fleet getting underway.

Not to mention the small fortune in Pacific war books that you will end up buying because you just must have them. I own two copies, two of Conway's, one for my main home, one for my second; I refrained from getting one for work. Shattered sword, hard back and e-book, and so on.

Before really getting into AE the only PacWar book I owned was Silent Running. I now have over 30 books. Still not close the the European collection but the gap is slowly closing! [:D]

This stiked idea to me, any chance that matrix will relase "newbs edidition" ? With game and with 1-2 e-books for easier fiting in or totaly new players.

"newbs edidition"
Actually any of the short scenarios are quite good for getting the hang of it.
I suggest the Aleutian scenario first followed by the Guadalcanal one.
That said,[8|]I, and most of the grognards here probably jumped into the long campaign, before reading the manual and sort of made it up as we went along.

Yep, as IJ. Results were poor though.

This is noobs edition! Try DBB for the hard stuff! [:D]

This is a game you learn by doing, and slowly, over a long time. It is worth it in spite of it's faults, and will teach you a lot as well as entertain you.
