Resupply ships - Repair and Retrofit Command

Post by radioactiveman »

When in a fleet, and you tell the fleet to repair or to retrofit, resupply ships ignore you.

You have to target each resupply ship and tell it to repair, or retrofit individually.

Resupply Ships have to deploy as bases to produce fuel and refuel other ships.
It is best to not assign these ships to fleets but to deploy them independently.

Don't consider a Resupply ship as a Fleet Collier/Oiler, consider it more as a tow-able Oil Drilling platform. Move it to a location near your battle operations and then deploy it at a fuel source.
IF it is assigned to a fleet it is always in motion and never has a chance to mine for fuel.

Don't forget either, the resupply ship need a planet for retrofit/repair not a starbase like the rest of the fleet.

Yep I realize they goto a planet for the activity, and they are not intented to be parts of fleets.

But, given their space allowance, even after the restriction for gas mining gear, yhey make for very nice attack vessels.

So if the game lets you put them in fleets, and use them as normal 'attack' ships. IMHO The associated commands for repair/retrofit should function as well.
