Hot Patch 1.1.6.2

Post by Shannon V. OKeets »

The attached zipped file contains the MWIF executable for version 1.1.6.2.

The is the same as the released version 1.1.6.0 with the single change that a couple of debug messages have been removed. No functional changes have been made to the code since 1.1.6.0.

To update your program:
1 - Install the 1.1.6.0 Update.
2 - Download the attached zipped file.
3 - Unzip the file.
4 - Overwrite the existing file MWIF.exe with the one from the zipped file.

I tried to run this file but got the message rtl140.bpi is missing. I checked the MWIF folder and rtl140.bpi was there. Please advise.

Also, where can I find the version number on-screen? Given the number of patched and the broken yp dater, that info is crucial.

Can't help with your error message, but this screenshot should help with your second question.

Many thanks. It's so small I missed it.

I'm doing a clean re-install to fix my errors. Hopefully, the updater will work to get 1.i.60.

I re-installed, updated to 1.1.6 but got the same error on the hotfix.

Edit: My bad; I misread the instructions and tried to run the exe alone. I've since just copied it to the main folder and all is well.

Here's the trick: After opening the zip file, copy and paste the unzipped exe over to your WIF folder. Don't run the exe file as you would with the usual update.

I have seen Windows 7 executing the file you want the paste over instead of the pasting itself.
To prevent that from happening I exctract the MWIF.exe to the desktop, I rename the old one in its folder to MWIF.115 (in this case), and than move the new one to that location.
