Small Victories
This battlegroup is just a click away from capturing Gibralter, same group captured Nicosia and Malta. These small victories, take away England's ability to recruit units for a backdoor attack on your gains, also, it puts a huge amount of red dot sea hexes the Entente navy would have to travel though, nevermind, the loss of PP to England.

RE: Small Victories
This Turk garrison has been blocking the Suez Canal for sometime, a small victory, by preventing 4 plus English merchant ships (equivalent to 400 PP or more) from passing through. I would not suggest doing this if enemy warships are nearby. In MP, this situation probably would not last long. I would have expected the AI to produce a 20 PP/4 turn sub to clear the way, or shoreline artillery, perhaps a bomber or some type of English airship. Everytime I attack Nicosia there is an airship. The purpose of this: is to show how small things can effect the game.

RE: Small Victories
By CP blocking access to the English Channel ports, delays and forces English merchant ships to find alternate ports. To me that is a small victory, short of sinking them. I have no aversions to bringing the Americans into the war. The English have 3 BB's and a cruiser up at Scappa Flow, one of my subs keeps an eye on them for movement. Should they want to come on down to break this blockade (for one, I would enjoy a foray), two, have backup being built to help prevent this. The whole idea is to starve England, while building up for an invasion.
<edit>
Ships position can be changed to force merchants to go "All the way around Ireland".

A small Vic using multinational CP guns, ship and air, to push the Brits back onto the Sinai. This post will have the BEFORE SS, the next post will have the AFTER SS, don't know how to put 2 SS on the same post "yet".

AFTER
Next turn, Reposition, repair, to get ready for the next push. The lowest Turk infantry, occupies the hex that allows (frees up) Turkish Cruiser to deploy at Aqaba on the next turn, or even now if it was ready. The only problem is: merchant ships are in the way, Yes, I could blow them out of the water, but do not want America in the war.

Hi Operating.
The tactics you are posting are all quit valid and indeed, these small victories are important.
However, they are at the stage where the war has already been won by the CP. So not really war winning strategies as long as the war is being fought in the trenches of europe.

Hello Housies,
Take a look at the mini-map, you will not see any green hexes in Europe, only in England and Egypt. Since it is a new game (1.4.2), "with no means for CP to diplomatically make an offer", I am experimenting and exploring ideas on how to bring England to the point of surrender.
The whole idea is to starve England, while building up for an invasion.

RE: Small Victories
Capture of London, continuous Zeppelin and class 2 bomber runs, upper and lower English cities being bombarded by cruisers is wearing down England's National Morale (NM) and Production Points (PP). Next turn they offer to surrender.

RE: Small Victories
Once a Suez canal hex is captured, English merchant ships begin to lose points automatically. Capturing Ismailla pretty much seals the deal for CP, driving down the English NM and PP.

20 more turns left to go. Would you "accept or refuse" surrender?

RE: Small Victories
Missed taking pre-capture SS. Kept hitting German infantry in city with fighter and artillery, knocking unit efficiency down into the red zone, at that point attacked with infantry, with new general (?) who had added attack values to units.
When a ship is forced out of port, it automatically loses efficiency down into yellow, making it easy pray for attacking ships.
Bought a infantry lab a few turns ago, now it is paying off with an upgrade equal to CP troops.

RE: Small Victories
In order to trap AH BB, "subs must show themselves by attacking", otherwise BB can go right over them like they were not there and escape.

French subs did their job, now it's the French BB's turn (Combat prognosis 4-0).

AH BB sunk, resulting to at least a 10% NM loss to AH. It might be 30%, but not sure, due to recent changes to the game.

With the AH BB gone, opens the way for French cruisers to freely bombard AH coast.

Since 1871, when the French lost Alsace Lorrainne to the Germans (Franco-Prussian War), they have wanted to retake it. By retaking Metz and Strassburg, they will have fulfilled this dream. Alsace Lorrainne officially went to France in 1918-19.

Joffe's ground attack value helped make the capture of Strassburg possible. All other ground units not included in assault were upgraded with grenades.
