Recent "Oh No" moment

Post by DSwain »

In my current PBEM game, I have a milk-run Cargo TF with a few little AKL's, picking up resources at Port Headland. The same TF, same ships, every turn - week in, week out. It's now mid-43. I just so happened to need a couple of small transport ships elsewhere in northern Australia, so I decided to divert the Port Hedland TF. While setting its new course, I actually found myself thinking:

"I'm sure the lads on those ships will appreciate the change."

Oh no.

I'll admit I become really attached to some units in certain areas that require a lot of attention. One of my first AE games was a full Guadalcanal game. Since the area of focus is just a small area, I became really attached to certain units. I even lost sleep at night trying to figure out what to do about my fuel situation on the whole map and my supply situation in the Solomons.
