strange max pilot problem

Ok this all of a sudden started happening but only seems to happen to my bomber USA bomber units & only at the max pilot level (a BS of 8 can have max of 12 pilots so it's on the 12th pilot). I draw a veteran pilot from the pool & he supposed to arrive in x days (varies from 2-7 days). Come the day he goes from 2 to 1 he magically moves back into the reserve pilot pool instead of staying w/ the unit I drew him to. I then do this all over again w/ another pilot & viola same thing. If I "get a new pilot" instead of select a veteran from reserve pool I get to 12 pilots w/ all active. It's a minor bug but seems to have started under 1123v2 as I started this game under version before that w/ no problems.
