The artillery Nato box is still that pale French blue. Shouldn't that also become purple? Or is that a standard colour for that type, as the Italian has the same colour?
I notice a green border effect of the counter itself on the screenshot. On purpose?

Your remark on the path gave me inspiriration. Pathfinder is actually not a bad alias. If I get banned you'll find me under that new name. Only pity is that there is no Avatar counter for that.

RE: Graphics Help
I see that great things have gone on since I was last on. Great job on the counters WarHunter! [8D][8D][8D]
AxeINL - The division background color for the CW major power listing is set the same as the French division colors. I think they might have been the same in Mech in Flames as well; I do seem to remember them being a light blue like that. Easily changed though, at least for the regular divisions. However it seems to have no effect on the background of the artillery, anti-tank, or AA divisions. Or on any of the paratroopers for that matter. As WarHunter has discovered, there are some strange inconsistencies with the way some of the colors work in the CSV files. Probably only Steve could truly illuminate this, but that's a question for another day when he doesn't have such a large pile on his plate.
At least with the info we have discovered here we are now able to largely change the counter colors in the game to what we may prefer. I'm already thinking of an alternate for the Italians as well as maybe an olive drab for the US.
And now, if you'll excuse me, I've suddenly gotten very thirsty for a nice cold beer!

AxeINL,
The artillery shade like the White for NZL is still hiding in plain sight. No clue where it might be in the data files.
The green outline is pretty much standard when the green bubble is active. You can see the effect in screenshots all throughout the AAR's. Land, Air and Sea counters.
For the background of the CW divisions, I'll look at some shades of Khaki. Better fit [;)] That purple shade needs to be for the Italians.
For a Pathfinder symbol, how about a Mosquito counter?

Didn't notice the green shade before!
Could you try the original background colour of KiF (Dabrion posted it in the beginning of this thread) for the Div shade? If it turns out nice, we can use it to explain why it was too bright for the general Khaki background.
Mosquito is indeed the best aircraft type for the pathfinder counter. Could be an optional rule: Stats other than range needs to be diminished, but when present other bombers get +2 on strategic bombing attacks.
For the moment I will stick with my Cruiser bearing the name of our national sea hero Admiral Michiel de Ruyter.

RE: Graphics Help
The variable for outlining elite land units against a pale background is OutlineElite. This is the Elite unit outline flag on page 199 of volume 2.ORIGINAL: Dabrion
I am color blind myselfSo I cant help with tuning the colour schema, just wanted to point out how it is done since I came across it recently.
Also this a modding, so you do not have to use it. And I am rather certain you can find the switches that render the CW counters with the same settings like the Chinese counters, or render everything in pink. Documentations in the PM2, p.198ff is almost accurate, shouldn't be too hard to work out.

Changing the background color for a country should eliminate the border color being different from the country color for air and naval units.
EDIT: Here's the source code for reading in the variables for sub-country data (i.e., any country that has a unit):
// ****************************************************************************
// ****************************************************************************
// Now read in the variables for SubCountry.
// ****************************************************************************
Abbrev := TrimString(S); // 3 letter name abbreviation.
S1 := TrimString(S);
B := ctNone;
ControllingPartisanCountry := Pointer(B);
S1 := TrimString(S);
if S1 <> '' then B := StrToInt(S1)
else B := ctNone;
ForcePoolMP := Pointer(B);
UnitColor := StringToColor(TrimString(S));
IconColor := StringToColor(TrimString(S));
LandIconFColor := StringToColor(TrimString(S));
LandIconBColor := StringToColor(TrimString(S));
TextColor1 := StringToColor(TrimString(S));
TextColor2 := StringToColor(TrimString(S));
TextColor3 := StringToColor(TrimString(S));
OutlineElite := StrToBool(TrimString(S));
UseArmyInfantry := StrToBool(TrimString(S));
UseArmyArmor := StrToBool(TrimString(S));
Partisans := StrToInt(TrimString(S));
PartisanChance := StrToInt(TrimString(S));
PartisanActive := StrToBool(TrimString(S));
ConvoyPoints := StrToInt(TrimString(S));
// ****************************************************************************
// Subcountries that can be claimed are Contested. For example, Bessarabia,
// Transylvania, Polish Corridor, Rhineland, Siberia, Ukraine. There are 14 in
// all, but most of them are for Days of Decision.
// ****************************************************************************
Contested := StrToBool(TrimString(S));
Garrison := StrToFloat(TrimString(S));
PartisanCount := StrToInt(TrimString(S));
end;

Artillery (all types) and paratroop units use a light blue NATO interior. The only exception is for the Communist Chinese which use a darker blue so they don't get confused with the Nationalist Chinese artillery units.ORIGINAL: Ichirou989

All marine units use a light green NATO interior.
The above is true for all nations and is hard coded. This is mentioned somewhere in the Players Manual.

Well, I will give advise - but I don't think I am the one who should approve. That is a common decision I would think. But I do approve off, if that is the right use of english to express that I like them.
They are less intrusive than the Russian divs. Is it the original KiF background colour, you used? That would give a nice touch.
We could experiment with a whole lot of different lighter shadings, but having that original KiF background colour relation is appealing.
If we all think we are in good shape to release the KiF mod we should. Perhaps in a different thread which can move up to the stickies list?

It is a group project really. If anything was out of place, someone would surely speak up. That's for dang sure.
Any yea or nays out there?
Used the color in Dabrion's post #21 for the divison interior.
Used the color from Khaki in Flames for the Corp/Army interior.

There are some fixed colors for unit types/classes: all Arty: pale blue, MAR/Mar: pale green, PARA/Para: pale blue, most white print also have a white symbol interior.
