Ex Pitch Black 2017 Scenario

I am eight hours into the scenario (game time) and nothing has happened except for a Timorese ship being sunk by a TNI one. Was that my cue to intervene?

I have set up CAP, tanker, AWACS and ASW missions, and tracked alot of commercial traffic...do I just wait for something to happen?

Enjoyed the tutorials and several of the other smaller scenarios, great game.

Hi Doggie,

There should have been a triggered event within the first hour (or less) of the scenario. Unfortunately, I recommend starting from the beginning again. I will also take a look.

I have just done a quick test on the latest version of Pitch Black available from here. The event and special message/follow on orders appear correctly.

Could you please confirm you have both 'Special Messages' check boxes selected within the Game > Game Options > Message Log tab menu. If both boxes are not/not selected, you will not see the special message window appear with further tasking in order to complete the scenario.

I have the Special Messages check boxes selected under the Pop-Up options (the only two selected under Pop-Ups). I ran the Air Tutorial again to make sure my pop-ups were working (they are).

Is the linked file the same that is in the community scenario pack?

Hi again,

The file I tested was posted to this forum which can be found by clicking on the link in my previous post. The community scenario pack should include the same version of the scenario. I'll try the community pack version just in case.

Edit: I just tried the version of the scenario attached to the community pack and found that the particular trigger was not 'tripped'. Please try the version I have linked to above as this definitely works. I will contact the community pack guys to have the file switched.

Enjoyed this scenario very much. Really liked the logistics involved in getting aircraft to the front lines. One thing I would suggest is to put the victory objectives from the "special event" popup in the side briefing. Reason being is if you do not write them down at the time you cannot recover them later when you restart the scenario. Thanks again for the scenario.
