Detaching Commanders

Commander - The Great War is the latest release in the popular and playable Commander series of historical strategy games. Detaching Commanders

Noticed in MP matches and some SP SS that some players leave in Commanders that can adversely affect their units in a counter attack. Got to wondering if they knew how to detach a Commander? There are not a lot of Commanders for a given side, however, they could be used at different locations where they might be best suited for a particular turn. So thought to give a demonstration as to how this could be accomplished.

The "RED" X in the commander's picture is the detach command button.

After clicking detach X this window will appear.

Finally the commander is detached and as you can see is placed in the production panel, to be deployed anytime on later turns, where he might be best suited.
