RE: What could possibly go wrong? Wargamr(A) vs njp72(J)

Post by pontiouspilot »

I can't believe the range of Mavis.....and the balls that he would send them straight after your house too!!!

In looking at opponent's by-passed areas I see an opportunity. Sing is going to a tough nut for him....forts level 6. He must already regret by-passing it as it is a most useful base. I have in a couple of games used all the newer US subs with craqppy torps to run supplies for early war. If you have most of Sing on "rest" to preserve supplies and dedicate a large number of US fleet subs to transport you may cause NJP a lot of grief. He will either not capture Sing or will have to remove a number of crack divisions from somewhere else to do it....I think he is simply spread too thin on ground with both Ceylon and POW Camp Australia. You will soon have some planes with enough range to reoccupy Sing...if you still have some supply. If you have even only recon in Sing it is like having eyes in the back of your head.

In speaking of eyes, if you have a spare float=plane tender why not send it and a few Cats to Ocean Island. This is a great spot to see into 75% of his approach lanes into your Suva performance.

Phillipine supply is problematic. I think it's too far for sub supply, at least at this point. Additionally if you are going to dedicate subs to transport better that it be to Sing as it is level 6 and shorter distance from India. I have however got away with 75% success in sending expendable re-supply ships (Chinese volunteers only!!) from Seattle to Wenchow China. It is surprising how few surface search assets some Jap players use in friendly waters. Whether you can get to Manila?????

Lowpe....better than 50% of those that made it to China got home!....I'm talking 1 ship Tfs. Some of the expendables just sit in port also. There is now little fuel to send them home!

I have at least 8 or so subs capable of carrying about 300 units of supply. NJP is bombing the port every day. Will my subs be vunerable to his bombers? I am thinking yes...

The subs will be exposed if in port unloading. It shouldn't take long to unload though unless port a shambles.

I would like to hear other opinions on sub transport in this situation.

Good work on Suva.....no sniff of KB????

I think the subs would be a good idea at Singapore, the more of a tar baby you make this the better off you will be in the long run. If he is going to bypass this to let it die on a vine, any water you give it will just make him regret his decision.
