Panzer Corps v1.23

Fans of the old Panzer General series rejoice for the release of Panzer Corps. Following in the footsteps of the popular SSI masterpiece and sharing with the General series the same level of engagement and strategic depth, Panzer Corps will keep an unmistakable "PG feeling" whilst improving and refining the gameplay and balance. Panzer Corps will feature 26 scenarios on 21 unique maps, covering most major battles of the European Theatre of World War II and including a few hypothetical 'what if' scenarios based on your actions. Now expanded with a full-war mega-campaign and the Afrika Corps and Allied Corps releases!

Post by IainMcNeil »

Hi guys,

v1.23 of Panzer Corps is now available or iPad. Just update via the app store. Sorry for the delay in getting this to you but hopefully it is worth the wait.

Here is a list of changes:
- Added full German language support
- Added full Russian language support
- Added separate controls for music and sfx
- Added "Sleep always" command (invoked via Unit Info screen)
- Added "discard truck" confirmations when embarking a unit
- Paratroopers can now be deployed on the ground or in the air, depending on the ground/air switch
- Fixed award/hero notifications during AI turn
- Fixed bonus difficulty levels (Guderian, Rommel and Manstein)
- Fixed issues with map jumping
- A host of other fixes and improvements

Please remember to rate the app again after the update!

Thanks!

Played 1st scn 1939 GC. It is awesome! No screen jumps like before and that is really nice, my units go where they are supposed to now. I hope that in the future you will add more advanced options to this game but understand it might be awhile. You can now access the cheat code to get the reform units. So I'm fine that it might take awhile.

Rogo, I just don't know how you can play on those highest difficulty levels. General is giving me a tough enough time. I'm not a tactical genius, but I'm no slouch either.

The AI already gets so many units on General difficulty. I can't imagine how you can survive on Rommel or Manstein. I thought I read the AI gets more units, more prestige, and other bonuses. I would love to watch you play some missions. Modlin in the '39 GC comes to mind. There are barely enough turns to bust through those fortresses. Then, units appear and start getting behind your lines and taking back cities. I don't have enough troops to keep some back and still press forward to take down the fortresses.

It all starts with artillery. A 10 strength Wehrmacht infantry attacking a 15 strength polish infantry which is suppressed will gain a massive amount of experience. I never ever use elite replacements in battle. I have equal amounts of infantry and artillery. I read Napoleon and his use of artillery in battle. It's amazing that his use of it held so true in WW2.

With the new v1.23 for iPad if you turn off or have the music off and want it back, when you check the option for it the music does not sound.
Not that I'm going to have it on [:D] but please check it out and if it also happens to you have it in mind so it gets fixed in the next patch.

Good to have a new patch [8D]

Guys,

If you want to have the music back, you can by selecting music in the option menu, killing/closing your running app and restarting, music will be here again.

There's no need to quit the app, just reload the game you're playing [:)] don't forget to save it before quitting
