Scientists?

Post by Atts »

How do they work? As far as I can tell you have to bundle a scientist on the same station as your highest planet/anomaly research bonus? Is that right? If so, whats the point in having multiple research bonuses on the same charcater, say 10 percent weapons and 5 high tech? On top of that, as far as i've seen mutiple research bonuses from scientists don't stack, so if you have two scientists at said highest station one with 10 weapons and the other 5, you only get the ten?

I'm asking mainly to ensure i'm reading this right.

You might find the answer here:

Please note the wiki is a heavy work-in-progress and largely incomplete - mainly due to my lack of time (family business etc.), but just yesterday I rewrote exactly this part a bit to streamline the info...

Quick answer: only the highest combined bonus for a Research area (Energy, Weapons, Hightech) from your empire is counted and each such bonus is a combination of the Research Lab and a Scientist assigned there, so you better pair your best Scientist in that field with your best Lab in that field to get the highest possible bonus.

Other bonuses are additive to the Empiret Research potential etc. etc., see the above link...
