Three DDs lost so far, not good. Gotta be carefull.

However the main objectives need to be achieved and speed is essential.

Sinkawang will be taken next turn. Then Netties will be based there with torps and the allied warships won't be able to get any closer to Singapore.

The 5th Air Div will be moved to SOPAC (Truk for the moment), while the rest of the Air HQs will remain in the DEI for the moment. Thinking about bringing an Air HQ immediately to NOPAC but not so sure about it yet

I can't do much to prevent that. QBall did it against me (a CV raid early on near Iwo) and i know i can't risk too much. Hopefully untill the KB is in CENTPAC i can be sure he won't go up there... then, who knows!

An important day. Sinkawang is conquered and we landed an Air HQ at Jolo, under the cover of a strong SAG (SAG that manages to sink some ships fleeing from the PI).
The Boise is moving east, fleeing towards CENTPAC. Possibly the Houston too.

In Malaya, a para unit conquers an empty Port Dickson, cutting the RR line, while IJ bombers attack the elements of the 11 Indian Division moving South from Alor Star and Taiping...very good! If we manage to prevent the re-unification of the 11th Division, Singapore can fall really early!
Tomorrow the 5th Division will land at Mersing. I hope to find the two aussie brigades, so to maul them off.
The 18th ID will follow in 2 days, along with the 25th Army HQ, and a couple of tank Rgt.
A regiment of the 31st div will be airdropped at Port Dickson so to help the brave paras.

The target isn't to sink those stupid ships from Luzon and PI...i don't really care. The goal is to get on Singapore as soon as possible.
With force Z not in sight, i think the 5th Division should be Landing safely (it's the same ID that has just conquered Kuantan).
From my calculations, if everything goes smooth as i hope, the siege of Singa can begin with only 350 AVs present there...[8D]

At Luzon everything is moving fine. The 48th Division is easily conquering everything Beyond the Clark-Manila line. The 16th Div is moving North from Legaspi.
The siege of HK has begun. The attack will begin soon.

A mixed day, but the strategic objectives of the day are secured, even if the losses are heavy.
At Jolo the SAG fights several transports sent to its way...when the Boise and Houston arrive at daytime, the japanese have exausted all their ammos... Lost a CA and a DD, with 1 more CL and CA in bad conditions... But Jolo is captured and Nells are already present there, closing the way to Luzon from Java.

At Mersing the 5th division lands without problem. The route to Singa is now open and only the two aussies bdes are able to make it back!
Singa may really fall before jan 42! Now the 33rd division will join the party, along with the 38th as soon as HK falls. Can't complain


Kudat, Brunei and kuching are invaded. Guam is invaded too.

So, with the fall of Jolo, now we have torpedo armed long range bombers in the heart of the PI. Boise and Friends may have some hard time escaping. Another SAG is moving to Jolo to secure the base against a potential naval bombardment.
The Boise will have now to limp back to Sosarbaja to reload. Time for the invasion of Mindanao with 2 regiments. Zuiho and BBs are arriving from Japan and will aid securing the Celebes. Spotters are sent to Darwin and Horn Is area in order to look for a possible arrival of one or two American CVs...

But the priority now is Malaya. I wanna get Singa ASAP. Everything will be done. Every effort.

The 33rd ID, along with the 21st, has just passed Formosa. In 10 days or so it should be able to land at Mersing and join the 5th and the 18th.
The 21st ID will move to get to Palembang. Hopefully, in a week, HK should fall (will concentrate the air effort here soon), so freeing up the 38th ID too.

Lots of early surface engagements...Obvert is definitely being aggressive early, but he is starting to run out of ships. Dutch and British left... Watch out near Rabaul for Aussie cruisers and again I think he will raid the northern HI early on. Two destroyers there can handle surface raiders like the Canadian AMCs...they take six days or so to transit to the Ominato area. Distribute your restricted land forces to protect the factories.

At least you now know that the Boise isn't lurking between the HI and Truk, which is such a nasty tactic with her early on.

The allies keep on fighting back on the seas, winning every day... Japan loses another CL, 1 xAP and several xAKs... for no gain at all.

At Jolo something weird happens. A SAG, despite having half of its ammos, refuses to fight and moves back towards Bab... The Boise&co thank for the gift and plaster Jolo...(destroying 30 planes and closing the AF).
Later the same SAG gets attacked by Vitebs from Davao that place 5 bombs on my CL that sinks immediately...com'on!!! [:@][:@]

In Malaya, Mersing is captured easily (the two aussie Bdes are already at Singa) and now Jaore Baru will be ours soon. The 11th Div will never be re-united! BANZAI.

American DDs arrive at Brunei and sink one of my TFs... not a single plane of mine take off to attack them... We're not getting lucky.

Your opponent has shown no hesitancy in throwing the kitchen sink at you with the forces available. It has been costly for him too, but you might want to concentrate a bit more before making the next phase of conquests in the southern part of the DEI. On to Palembang. Do not let the knaves have time to fortify it.

Your invasion of Malaya has been picture perfect to this point and I think you will snatch Singapore on the fly. Well done.

I thought you had a CVL or two in or just on the edge of the Sulu Sea. Have these guys not found the Boise TF harassing you around Jolo. I wonder why no launch? Weather? More Greyjoy "luck" of the sort that got you tied up in Dreadfort?? What?

Just a recommendation to check leadership of the LCUs on Malaya, particularly the general leading the Imperial Guards. He needs to be replaced. There's a few other regimental commanders that could be improved too.

unfortunately CVEs in the Zulu Sea won't have achieved anything. The Boise&Co. comes back again to bomb Jolo, closing the field for good.
The Dutch bombers come again to visit us, sinking more ships in NE Borneo and at Jolo.
I've clearly made a mistake. Did think the surface forces i had in the area were enough (backed up by Jolo AF). I was wrong. And didn't have a plan "B" for that zone... my blame.
Now, however, 4 BBs are at Bab, along with 1 CVL and 1 CVE. Enough to prevent any further attempt i guess.
Boise and Houston are already moving back to Sosarbaja...attacked (and missed) by a jap sub near Balikapan...
They MUST have finished their ammos... let's hope so at least...

In Malaya a tank regiment arrived at Kulog, cutting the pensinsula in two, while the 5th Div is approaching the neck at Jaohre Baru. The Brits are trapped!
The 18th will be Landing at Mersing Tomorrow.
Always in the skies of central Malaya the brits come out with their buffalos, Killing 6 Nates and 8 Sallies... good for them. Their glory is almost over.

Guam is conquered.

Wake is invaded without a single ship loss and, thanks to the support of the KB who bombed with 110 Kates the garrison, the marines raised their arms at the very first attempt.

So... Even if jolo adventure went bad, things do look bright. Singapore may really fall by the end of 1941. Plans are changing fast. The 38th ( that today attacked HK obtaining the first 1-1 and reducing the forts) won't probably be needed at Singa. The 21st will take its place, while at Palembang we'll send and infantry regiments backed up by 2 SNLF units and a tank rgt.
The 21st and the 33rd ID are less than10 days from Mersing. Once the 21 st arrives we'll cross the Neck.
The 38th will be used against Java very early. And will be aided in the task by elements of the 56 ID arriving right after the 33rd ID.
Kaga and Ryuho, along with a strong SAG will move immediatly towards Java...let's see if i can cut the retreat of Boise&co...
