just got game and am tryng tutorial.how do I access window mode so referencing manual is easier?thx in advance.

Did you launch the game from Main menu, showing the three games? They should always start on a windowed mode when done like that.

If you create a shortcut of your own you need to have the -W parameter after the exe name, for windowed mode.

Do read the FAQ threads at the main forum.

I was under the impression that the game I got on the deal of the week was ver.2.0,i was in error dl'ed patch everything fine now.
Pleasant to see that this game is still getting support after all these year's.

Or you could do what I do, that is use the Start/Window button on your keyboard, no need to minimize the game. Just play the game and whenever you need to check the manual press the Start button and the manual window pops up on your lower task bar. Easy peasy.
