I've found another problem w/ the map. I'm trying to move a formation to Kherson but there's seemingly no way to get there from the
south. My units won't cross over the broken RR bridge hex and so there's no way to get there. You have to go all the way around by
taking a huge detour. D'oh.
This is not a mistake. If you had an engineer with major ferry ability you could cross the river and provide supply across that point as well.

Here is a section of the OKH situation map for 3 August 1941. No bridges. That little boat picture where the bridge should be is a ferry.:
Well well well. I've learned something. Thanks for your post. I guess, then, that the original FITE map is wrong in that one little detail.
Now I know. Thanks.

@Larryfulkersonov: I wonder why you counterattack against Finland? Not much to win, but loosing your defensive bonus... May I know your motive?
I get aggressive when I drink. It's a small-man complex psycological syndrome that is surprisingly common in the human population.

EDIT: Also, I should also admit that I shouldn't be attacking in the more northern areas around Leningrad but it's just so much fun to
be attacking and my men are surprisingly compliant. It's like they are volunteering.

You will definitely have to have your Pontoon Units planned ready to be used in key areas for crossing super rivers and converting those rails. In the 1st FITE there were a lot of bridges where there really were none. When I made this map I tried to keep it as close to real as possible.

2nd report. I know which one I would like to believe. When I ran the first part part of the turn I counted 14 air units as being destroyed.

This is the Northern front. I have cleared the pockets and about to race in every direction that I can. Due to the Fog of war I am not sure what Larry has. My policy is to bu pass and keep moving forward.

My air losses to turn 10. I lost a lot of aircraft attacking naval units. With the way the naval units have been set up they shoot back and the heavy units are hard to sink.

The upload limit on this particular forum is 500 K bytes and so I can't make my pictures very big and I'll have to do the panarama overview
of the front lines in sections. This is the northern section. The Fogger dude gave us a picture of his units advancing and you saw all
the various units moving NE fanning out moving quickly spreading out like water spilled on a floor.

EDIT: All the red units you see are my roadblockers and nar'do well's. They are hopefully going to buy me enough time to get all the
reinforcements to their front line positions in time to block the Germans from getting into Leningrad and so on. The rail cap is pity-full
and useful for only a handfull of formations at a time. This is a foot race and it appears John is winning.

Here's the middle part of the front lines. John is blowing through my Stalin Line and I'm backing up to the rivers destroying the bridges
over the rivers and parking units in ways to delay John's advance. It's not working very well. He's advancing at a rapid pace and my
reinforcements aren't nearly in position yet. It's looking really iffy in this part of the lines.

Here's the south part of the front lines. John is pressing east out of BessArabia and my dudes are falling back and using the terrain to
try to blow the bridges and rails and get into good blocking positions. I have no illusions about holding out in this terrain. Also, I'm
aware that John has engineers and can leap across rivers without much break in stride.

The rail capacity is only 7K and it gets used up pretty quickly. I hate to move the units by walking there but there's no other solution.
I'm trying to save the rail cap. for those units in the more eastern locations because they have the furtherest to go.

The Axis advance is so fast paced that even my HQ units are getting caught up in the overtaking columns. The Axis units are more
motorized and mechanized than my units and they are surrounding and destroying my units. They aren't even working all that well
as roadblocks.

Hi Larry
Can you post your air losses. I am interested in seeing how accurate the German reports are.
Thanks
