LOS Issues at smaller scale?

I read someplace in this CO forum, and I would post on that thread if I could remember where, that there was an LOS issue with the smaller scale Platoon level West Wall version of the game that was being tested.

Can someone explain this to me? I've been playing a modified version of CO at that scale and not come across an issue. I am still relatively new to this game compared to most and perhaps I am not using the LOS tools correctly.
