I looked in the read me file as instructed but I'm still confused as what a command switch is. I did find out that I can minimize the game by hitting the window key next to the space bar.
After 16 years, Civ II still has me in it's clutches LOL!!!
Now CIV IV has me in it's evil clutches!

You can also minimize with Alt+Tab.

You should add the following to your command line (which you can access by right-clicking and selecting Properties for the shortcut to the .exe, forgive me if you already know how I'm jumping in late here):

-w -pxAAAA -pyBBBB

Where AAAA is equal to or less than your monitor's horizontal resolution (usually something like 1280, 1440, or 1920) and BBBB is equal to or less than the vertical resolution (usually 990, 1080, or 1280). So if you have a big 1920x1080 monitor and want to run it at about 3/4 of your screen size, you'd put in "-w -px1600 -py800".

Hope this helps.

I have updated my reference spreadsheet and created a spreadsheet for allied air production from Scenario 1. The rearm tab is still raw on the reference sheet and needs some work. As always suggestions, corrections etc are always welcome.

Skyros,

Check your numbers for the Hellcat ... they look low. Not sure how as all of the other numbers look right.

I don't know if that's the good thread but I think it may be, i don't want to post a new subject for one question.

Can someone tell me which Scenario would be the best for a first MP game? I know that you have DaBigBabe and Reluctant Admiral, both improoving the base game and adding variations for the Japanese player. But what are the main differences? Are they okay for a first game or shall we stick with the basic scenarios from the Vanilla game?

Thanks!

For your very first game you might want to try a smaller scneario like Guadalcanal. The action will start happening sooner, and you'll get some mid game experience that will help you when you go back and try your first grand campaign.

You might want to try DaBabesLite, which has data changes to make it more realistic, but doesn't add lots of extra (small) ships and specialist units.
It's also fully compatible vs. AI.

After 2 years doing other things I'm back and trying to relearn everything I've forgotten about WITP:AE, so hope to add to this thread as I get back up to speed.

You guys can help though by suggesting threads you think should be added to this. One thing I'd particularly like is to find any good advice for coping with China as seems very few threads I can find on this. There is some advice in various AAR's but general principles of how to fight in China would be a great help to a lot of players just starting out on their first grand campaign.

And you left out the most important document of all from your list [:D] Once that is fixed then your list will be awesome [:)]

Welcome back. I like what you have provided to the WITPAE community. Very helpful thread.
