Scout committee meeting until 8:30, home shortly before 9, 3 hours of Deadliest Catch to watch (pre-show and 2 hour season premiere), getting in bed just before midnight and then getting up early this morning to get to work by 7:45... Alas, no turn for rjopel...

Testing for Cho Dan (First Degree black belt) in Tang Soo Do on Friday. This will be a capstone of 16 years of martial arts training for me. The test itself consists of a written test (approximately one hour) followed by a three hour physical test.

A tournament follows on Saturday, in which I'll compete in forms, weapons and sparring. If I'm not one big cramp by that time, I'll be astonished. [:D]

Tired this morning but otherwise no worse for the wear after a fantastic time with Jimmy Buffett and 20,000 close friends last night.

My friends set up my 65th birthday party at Jimmy's sister's place (Lulu's at Homeport Marina) in Gulf Shores. She did the menu, but wanted me to do the baking. I had no clue except I was told to make this, and that, and I would be collected. It was a party worthy of becoming a member of the Medicare Community. Jimmy's sister is just as cool as Jimmy. Ciao. Years ago I talked with Neal Young and watched him play when he was the International Harvester's off to the side with the Ozark Mountain Dare Devils. The next day was the Statler Brother's. The manager was an ass. Partied with Head East, Nazareth and Black Oak Arkansas. Set for .38 Special. I can't go back to the crowd. Spoiled.

Although, they are calling for potentially severe storms on Monday-Tuesday. This is of a concern here as we have a long history in Middle Tennessee for long track tornadoes when this happens. [X(]
