Along those lines was Captain Binghamton supposed to be gay or just "high strung"? Even as a kid I sensed he was very odd.

No one knows for sure. In those days the policy was "Don't Tell, Don't You Dare Tell!" But it could explain why he always seemed frustrated and

********Opahration Connie Ringus (wife of Former Governor of Fiji and good friend to Japan Ambassador to Fiji)********

Nearry simuhrtaneous randing on New Caredonia, Fiji, Norfork Isrand, Canton and Pago Pago
I bet the crew of PT-73 were more than casually acquainted with Connie Ringus, and Old Leadbottom did not approve.

Knock it off you guys. That's not very sporting of you.

As an aside - is there a counter at all for an early landing of,then, relatively easy targets such as Fiji, Samoa, and Noumea?

Seems awfully easy to cut the line between Australia and WC.

It is. But it is about as far from Japan as is possible so the supply lines are really long.

You can buy some units out from New Zealand and/or Australia and ship them up to those islands if they are critical to you but a determined Japanese assault can take them no matter what.

Technicarry, it more boasting at this point. Onry thing Japan-mens capture in South Pacific or New Guinea area is Rabaur and Sorong. Noumea and Pago Pago speed bumps, probabry garrison at Noumea arready surrender before Japn-mens arrive. Suva has a biggah garrison.

Or the USN or RAN might-ah show up.

Joe Flynn had many of the same mannerisms for the characters he portrayed in some Disney movies I remember from childhood. The two guys I remember from my youth giving me the creeps were Paul Lynde and Charles Nelson Reilly. Little Richard and Liberace were not on television as frequently, but they were also way out there on the creepy scale for an innocent young suburban lad. I knew those guys were queer, but I didn't know what queer meant.

I knew those guys were queer, but I didn't know what queer meant.
Queer: adj strange: odd: (OED)[8|]

Kind of like when Gay meant: Gay adj,Bright or lively-looking, esp. in colour; brilliant, showy. or :. Of persons, their attributes, actions, etc.: light-hearted, carefree; manifesting, characterized by, or disposed to joy and mirth; exuberantly cheerful, merry; sportive. (OED)

When did the opposite of Gay stop being Morose?

Perhaps it was a range issue with Vals? 7 hexes. Or do you get down to M-80's and Piccaro Petes when you use up the sorties?

The Arries threw everything they had at Kendari.

We sink a DD and Thracian. They lightly damage Naka. We hit PoW again but it seems nothing brow up.

The ground support unit at Kendari is beat up and the runway and support infrastructure wrecked badly.

7 hexes with Vals would result in them attacking with pea shooters. Six-ah hexes, Captain-san. Rimit them to six hexes.
