M1 vs M2/M3 Night Capabilities

Post by IronMikeGolf »

Seems like the night visibility range of the Bradley and the Abrams ought to be the same. LOS checks show M2/M3 can only see 1 hex at night. Is that by design?

Jeff,

Can you get a screen shot of that? They should be the same or very close. Testing on my end they seem fine. What version of the game are you running?

Could you post me the save game? That does seem very odd. I'll have to check and see if there is a bug related to the weather or the composition of the unit. Thanks for posting the screens.

I found the disconnect. The thermal sights on Bradley units (mech and recon) are not working if the unit is loaded and moving. When they dismount and are in a hold or screen the thermals are working. See attached pix.

I have a good idea of what is broken and it should be a quick fix. It will be in the 2.04 update.

Thanks Iron Mike and Charles. [&o] [&o]
Bug found and squashed. A deep bug that has been in the code for a year now and not detected. Will be corrected with the 2.04 update.
