windows 8.1 problem

Post by spilbuster »

HI,

does anyone have a clue how to resolve 2 or 3 issues

1 being the problem with the vessel pictures - a by product is the fact that the combat animations judder aswell
2 being the fact that, if I click on any city with industries I am not able to bring the industries or factories etc up -
it is as though the bottom of the map had been cut off
3 how do I get rid of those bloody black lines round the hexes???

hope the pic has uploaded

I am running a new Lenovo g500 and have updated the graphics driver but am not a pro at these things lol

thanks in advance,

martyn

I'm assuming No2 is related to this tm.asp?m=3603382 so try -DeepColor switch in the cmd line of your icon on your desktop. Also this discusses Win8 problems tm.asp?m=3589206. Read the readme in the game directory & it might give you some more hints to try to get things working. No3 just turn hexes off in the preferences panel of the game (you're either going to have them show or not) If you posted some screen shots might help more on No1

HI JcJordan

this is the running in my command line, was the only one I could get to work and took it off the thread you mentioned ("C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\Beta2\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -w -altFont - deepColor -dd_def -px1366 -py768)

you should be able to open the attachment to see issue number one and also, hexside details are off, if I turn them on I get a white line, if I turn off I get a black line :S

hope that helps

thanks
