How to scrap units?

Post by Platon »

I am in my first game, Barbarossa Fast Start scenario production step of turn 1. I see quite a lot of outdated units in the forcepools but I can't find a way to scrap them. How do I do that?

Help appreciated!
And it is also my belief that there has to be CAP for the active player during Ground Support.

You can only scrap units at the start of the game and during the final production step. If you are doing a quick start scenario, you can't scrap at the start of the game; this has already been done.

In the final production step, you will be asked about scrapping eligible destroyed units before you get to the build screen. Once you get to the build screen, there are several buttons on the right; one of them says "Scrap Units". Press that button to get the scrap units screen.

The optional rule "Scrap units" must be enabled.

Well, as far as I understand it by now the "scrap units option" is not active in the Fast Start Scenarios and therefore this button is missing in my game at this point. Don't remember if scraping units was an option in the RAW, but so be it.

Thanks for your kind response

Scrap Units as an optional rule (and selecting it in the Fast Start games) was done to reduce the number of rules and decisions a new player has to learn (what does scrapping do?) and understand (which units should I scrap?). There is a lot for a new player to absorb and eliminating scrapping (something an experienced player would never do) was made an optional rule in MWIF.
