New and need advice!

Greetings! Being new here and looking for a good ACW game to purchase.. With all these products available which would be the best for a new player? I have been leaning towards FOF but just not sure how the game fairs with online play such as finding opponents..

I find FoF to be the best ACW game out here, but others would disagree ofc.
The fact that FoF is both strategic and tactical in one package is a huge plus to me.
As to online play, not sure if it is #1. YOu might find one or two people still playing it and accepting to play a pbem game, but I would see FoF more as a vs the AI game.

FOF looks like a total package of strategic and tactical, have you seen any progress with Brother against Brother?

I would have to vote for Norbsoft's Gettysburg: Scourge of War and the Civilwar series of games he makes. There are a lot of players online and they are always looking for more. You can goto the official site of Norb's and get more information. I suck at online play so I don't play much anymore. It's fun though I can tell you that as I played it a few times online.

John, I agree "Gettysburg: Scourge of War" is a terrific game, you can't go wrong! [:)]
