The Thinking Man's Ammunition

Post by Mad Russian »

If you end a battle with smoke still available to you then you left money on the table, so to speak.

Smoke is a great equalizer for the defender. It can blind the other sides forces. Not all of NATO's forces are blinded by smoke but it's better to fire it and blind some of them than to keep it and blind nobody.

On the attack it can blind the enemy and keep them from firing into your attacking formations until they can get back into covered terrain.

If you are NATO they it can put a blindfold on the WP forces for a time. It's unpredictable, and questionable about how much you have but it's worth it's weight in T-80's.

Use it as much as you can.

Good Hunting.

I learn and relearn this lesson in every tactical or operational game I play!
