More MP scenarios, please

Germany At War: Operation Barbarossa 1941 is an elegant turn-based design, inspired by classics such as Panzer General, but with more of a historical focus. You command the German forces through a branching historical campaign covering the entire 1941 campaign as well as part of the 1942 campaign. Dozens of scenarios stretch from the Soviet border all the way to Archangel and towards Astrakhan, the original military goals of Operation Barbarossa. Step into a wargame where your performance will rewrite history, through an addictive combination of compelling gameplay, realistic events and challenging battles.

More MP scenarios, please

Post by Rosseau »

I may be wrong, but I just count five MP scenarios. I'd make some myself, but my skill limits me to editing existing maps. I really prefer MP with this game for some reason.

Might help sales to announce some more MP scenarios.

Respectfully,

Mike

Hello Mike,

it is quite easy to use other existing maps im MP, but we hear you. We will have a look which maps could be adjusted for that purpose.

By the way if there is any feedback on the current MP maps, that would help a lot to find a good balancing.

So far everybody is quiet about MP so we do not know if thats solved good or bad for the players.

I think all are pretty balanced except Kursk. I won easily as Reds against a much better player.

Most games in my collection are a no-go using MP due to the time commitment involved. Players also tend to lose interest in big games when a loss is inevitable. GaW is not a "simple" game, and only requires a few minutes for me a night. So it should be a greater success MP. I don't know if MP campaigns are possible to release, either. A nice $10 DLC. A few complain about the graphics, but most here would agree game play is most important. You cannot communicate with your opponent that I know of, but most people (other than me) don't want to talk anyway :)

Funny, WitE got so much attention. I love the details in that game, but never play it. And I think balance issues may have turned off even some veterans. It's like a sports car you leave in your garage and admire, but never drive. So, best of luck whichever way you go - but never give up!

Thats interesting, then i will have a look into that one for some tweaks. I guess in this case being too historical is hurting the MP balance.

but never give up!

what do you mean with this "give up" - it does not translate...[:D][:D]

One more thing: of all the maps of the campaigns or single scenarios - are there any you would love to see in MP ?

Would it be thrilling e.g. to defend Archangelsk, or to attack Stalingrad ?

Sorry, "give up" meant to lose enthusiasm for your game developments.

I would say a more fluid scenario - but you would know best. There are many scenarios, but TBH, I have not tried many single player yet.

Yes, we continue doing new stuff, but first there is GaW v1.05 to come. Multiplayer Kursk will get new rules to even the odds, there are several fixes, the German manual will be included and more. The detailed list will be announced with its release.

Hello Mike,

thanks for the hint, but i know this game from the day KingArt started their Kickstarter campaign. They had a 2D version before of that never made it to the market. Good team with nice titles.

Playing other games that are similar to GaW is part of what i do regulary, so "having a break" whould not exactly work out. [:)]

Besides i have a lot of distraction by my daughter and a second job that provides stability to my living.

Actually i am happy for every hour i can spend on my games. [8D]
