Post by wings7 »

I've been waiting for this one [&o], I ordered the boxed edition (the download editions are great and less expensive but please don't abandon the boxed edition's), with the full colored manual! [X(] I am glad to see it released (and others) on Steam, it will introduce Matrix to alot of Steam gamers...how many others have ordered this great game? Happy Gaming!! [:)]

I'm just waiting to get home and install it. This is a great game. Can't recommend it high enough. Sets the standard for 4x space operas...games.

I am so pleased with the Upgrade option! Very fair and coupled with the special introductory discount I could get it for only $19.95!

Way to go Matrix!

No, you're not the only ones - I purchased it as well on release day, and with the excellent upgrade option I got it for a little less than 10 Euros, thank you matrixgames.

Now there's a lot to learn how to play it [:D]

Now that's an understatement if I ever saw one. I've played plenty of 4X games, most of the civs, moo1 thru 3, gal civ 1 and 2 and others that I don't remember.

DW: Universe is the only one that I couldn't just jump into and immediately play.

Learning this one is going to be a challenge I think.

It's been in the top 10 best sellers on Steam, so not the only ones.

Yes, I'm looking forward to learning it, it will be a challenge but it just makes us more patient and a little smarter. [;)]

This might turn out to be the best matrix game I own. Still not done going through tutorials yet, but it's looking good.

Not gonna buy the game saw in the problem section that some people can not get it to work, Not risking 70 bucks just to have nothing.

2T, you're interested in this game but ur not going to buy it b/c some users have had technical issues?

That seems unreasonable. Especially a matrixgames title. I've seen threads in their tech forum where 4 or 5 guys who work at matrix are following a thread trying to find a solution for the user. Every game has tech issues over so many different PC configurations, I don't care who made it; that's how it goes. These guys will absolutely help you if there's a problem. I'm not sure what more you can ask for.

I bought Distant Worlds when it first came out a few years ago. It ran perfectly for me. I haven't upgraded to the new one b/c I'm not interested in 4x. Nothing wrong w/ the game it's just a personal preference. I wouldn't have any qualms buying a game from these guys, if there is a problem - post it in the tech forum and the ppl who built it will help you, it's not like your going to be out of the money and abandoned.

Twotribes, I'll bet you $10 the game will work. Every Matrix game I have worked out of the box on my crappy computer. But you should know this - you are a veteran!

I don't use IE and have no idea if windows what ever is enabled. Further there are at least 3 or 4 people on the site that have tried everything and it won't work. I am no great computer nerd I know how to turn it on and load shit and move around a bit. Not sure I want a 4x game that requires hours to learn either.
