I find myself playing "The Guild or The Guild 1400" over n over. I can't get enough of that Sims type feeling an action in Medieval times. Much better than Sims Medieval.

Of course the wargame I play over n over would have to be Combat Mission and Panzer Osfront or Norbsoft's Scourge of war series which probably leads the pack and Steel Panthers.
Now I really long to play The Guild or The guild: 1400.

I still find myself playing the old Colonization.
I play that and Age of Empires frequently too. No reason to stop playing the classics.

Been rolling the dice with Strat-O-Matic since the early 70’s

Had every baseball & football season from 1970-1985. Probably should have hung on to them but got tired of moving them from state to state. Also had the college football game.

No computer game has been as good although MicroLeague and Earl Weaver Baseball is why I stopped getting the Strat teams each year.

First game was Racing Destruction Set. Dialed into bbs using a 600 baud modem to post my opinions [8D] When I was 12 I knew everything.

I never get tired of playing Left 4 dead 2 (FPS); Combat Mission; Advanced Tactics; John Tiller Campaign Series and Flashpoint campaigns: Red Storm. [&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o][&o]

There are many others I like, however these are the ones I spend more time playing, perhaps because of their replayability[:D]

You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

Tom, have you played any dice APBA Baseball, Master or Basic?

Patrick

I did a long long time ago. Even had the cards that came in those small envelopes. Collected for years back in the 70's. Tried new ones like Big League Manager and Negamco. Always came back to APBA though. Then I think it was 95' I went digital for a couple of years and then got hooked on Front Page Sports Baseball in 98' (wish they would bring that back) mostly been playing OOTPBB up until the 2013 year then got tired of just paying the guy $39.95 a year for a roster list and not much improvements to the game. He's since changed his style once again by going 3D but not exactly what I want. A floating ball on the screen is not my idea of 3D baseball. I wanna see players and I wanna see action again like Front Page Sports Baseball.

Front Page Sports Baseball 98' was the best of them all. Gave you good statistical outcomes and good graphics to boot. My favorite fan line was : You ain't Nothin" you shouda heard the guy when he said it too funny.

I used to write AAR's when I played Computer Ambush. Great game. It's what made X-Com so great. Individual soldiers and individual orders and movements. I still remember that one massacre in the courtyard of that one town. We were all spread around it and had all those germans in our crossfires...it was over in just a few seconds (turns). After it was over I felt ashamed. We found the photos of loved ones in their pockets. We cried for what we had done. <sniff> That could have been us had we arrived a bit later.

There are two games i bought from ebay that i missed playing, one is Birthright's Gorgon Alliance and the second one is Destiny (civilization game). Both are pretty good, just need upgrade their graphics and details. Of course it wouldnt run on this pc, had to use my older pc with WinXP on it.

Just wish someone out there would me a better civilization game compare to Destiny, alot better than Sid' Civs.

Lords of the Realm 1 and 2. And i loved when the enemy army camped in your backyard to feed on your cattle and grain. You were obliged to come out of your castle to challenge the intruder!

Are you referring to Destiny by Interactive Magic? Because if you are you are the first gamer I have ever encountered who enjoyed playing Destiny. But one man's trash is another man's treasure. I suppose if someone took the kinks out of it and updated it I might even try playing Destiny again.

I remember playing Birthright: The Gorgon's Alliance and it seemed like a decent game back in its day. Here's a Let's Play video from YouTube about it:

Both games were released in 1996.

Yes that the one, they should made it in species like orientals that can be mixed up with other orientals and have like Chineses, Japanese, etcs. The resouces are realistic, they dont last forever like in Sid' Games. Only things it suck is the graphics and 3D battlefields. Too bad i couldnt find the patch for it, tried to contact the company that took over I-Magic, but they dont talk much and they dont deal with old games back in the 90's.

For Birthright is kinda funny, when in 3D combat, the characters start swinging making funny noises. Now we have the abilities to make it even more details and graphics. Hard to believe our techs in pc sciences have grown so much in 15+ years.
