The Bloody First focuses on the US 1st Infantry Division. You will be able to play from the Axis side, but there is no Axis campaign in the game, focusing in a similar way on the path of an Axis division through 1942-44. We're already discussing ideas for subsequent releases that focus on the Germans, however.

But.........can you play as german defender in the campaign? what about play in multiplayer the grand campaign? I do not know if you have taken a look about it but more people is interested at play with the german side than the allies.

It seems by Steve's' response the Axis (Germans) won't have a campaign in TBF. However, as I understand you will be able to play individual battles and in multiplayer as the Axis.
The question that needs to be asked is; if and when a decision is made to go ahead with a German version, which Division would be the focus?

Bad news to hear there's no german campaign. Although being honest it was always more fun to play as the attacker.

Are we not able to create our own campaign using the integrated editor? Speaking of editor, mr. Steve can you provide info on what the editor in this game is capable of doing? how much stuff can we edit to make our own battles? I'm expecting a CCM-family battle editor, how far is that from the real deal?

Thanks.

Please think about expansions and DLC. I know a whole new game is better for sales, but expansions on an existing game will keep the community together and will result in a far more polished product at the end.

Look what Paradox does with their games. Look at the Civilization series. Look at the Panzer Corps series here! All use expansions to add new features, campaigns etc and these keep players interested. A multi-storey buildings DLC will be amazing. A "German Campaign" DLC will be even better. Skin packs, new official maps, added features, extended campaigns...

Panzer Corps is a great example. The base game is good, but the DLC's include new campaigns, and you have several expansions to that game. You could do the same with The Bloody First.
I have a Youtube Channel that features Close Combat and Panzer Corps Let's Plays and videos, as well as historical documentaries.
