PS. can the forum administrator move the thread to the mod section ?

For some years I was stockpiling idea's and material for a nice star wars mod.
Now that I have some spare time this is what I have for the moment.

Please note it will be released when I feel happy with the result.

And for others who want to make or already made a star wars mod in the last couple of weeks I decided to share stuff just sent me a PM.

I'm also open for suggestions.

And so it begins.


Characters In-game:

In the mean time on the other side of the galaxy the first walker is on the field.

Add Empire-Ship-names.
Change victory conditions for the Empire.
Add some new Empire characters. => Done
Check to modify Empire Explorer ship.
Modify Empire Special troopers. => Done
switch defence trooper and mechanised.
Change Escort picture.
Add exhaust trail to carrier ship model.
Change size escort and frigate.
Changed race look was strange to have random troopers as ship-captains. => Done

How can you help ? : If you have recommendations or some nice top-down ship pictures please contact me.

If you know how to make events in the game please let yourself go and share some idea's on the forum.

Also I haven't had the time and courage to check other functionalities in the game all tips are welcome.

Awsome! But I hope it's not too only and limited to star war race, but I would like taken empire and fight all other non-star war alien as well even star trek or something, more fun factor for me.

Ill take a look to the hidden base option I'm still figuring out the concept of design templates for ships and star bases.

It is your vision so you can do as you wish, but I would think Veers would be a very competent General. You do not survive long on Vader's flagship being an idiot. Your stats on Admiral Ozzel show that...

Ill have to add government to make something fitting for the current 3 faction.


The confederation will be a mix of troop units to reflect what they are on the field.
I still have some work to remove the white pixels and redo the special troops en give them proper regiment names.

If I might make a suggestion? You appear to have named the races representing the various factions along the lines of Empire, Rebellion, Confederacy, et cetera. It might look better if you were to use the adjectival form of these nouns, so that instead of leading the "Empires," you would be leading the "Imperials;" instead of leading the "Rebellions," you'd be leading the "Rebels;" instead of leading the "Confederacys," you'd be leading the "Confederates." It might look a bit better for the game start screen, and I doubt it would confuse people.

(Thrawn) {i}s no longer cannon ?

My understanding of Star Wars canon is that the stuff that's in the licensed works is canonical unless it contradicts the stuff in some more canonical work, and anything which contradicts something in the movies is not canon. Since Thrawn appears in works set in the late-Old Republic and throughout the Galactic Empire period, I would say that it isn't so much that Thrawn himself is not canonical as that the works which speak to his actions post-Battle of Endor are non-canonical. But if someone can point to something reasonably official that says that Thrawn himself is not a canonical character, then I can't really contradict that.

I would also say that since we don't know exactly what the new Disney movies are going to contain, we cannot necessarily assume that their existence takes Thrawn out of the canon (more to the point, while the new movies may take some portions of Thrawn's actions out of the canon, they do not necessarily take the entire character out of the canon), and regardless you're free to chose any Star Wars stuff regardless of its canonical status.
