Close Combat: Gateway to Caen is the latest release in the critically-acclaimed Close Combat series and focuses on the largest, concentrated British offensive since the Normandy landings in an attempt to penetrate the German lines west of Caen and cross the Odon River to get the stalled advance moving again.

Is there any way of increasing the size of the screen. The game in my native res it is hard to see troops. I have changed the resolution to 1600 x 1040 or something like that, but it just makes the viewing area smaller. Any ideas?

I purchased the game and it auto-adjust to my screen perfectly. Image looks outstanding.

I think the map has only one resolution, which can not be zoomed. Yep the troops look small to me too.

No, sorry your answer isn't quite what I meant, in other games if want to see larger little pixeltruppens its done by changing the resolution. Tjis is very hard on old eyes.
Ah ha if you change your computer res the game matches your screen res, however even at 1600 x 1050 res the soldiers are still very small. It will probably discourage me from playing this game at any length.

Try lowering your resolution. Lowering it "zooms in" and makes the soldiers bigger.
I have a Youtube Channel that features Close Combat and Panzer Corps Let's Plays and videos, as well as historical documentaries.

If you haven't done this already, go to game Options, game options, show soldier outlines. You can pick an outline indicator and it will make your soldiers more visible.
